I live on a farm and do a lot of baking. I like to keep all my dry goods in glass jars but was having trouble finding large ones - at a reasonable price. These are perfect. I also bought the chalkboard labels on Amazon. The glass is sturdy and the lids are good quality. They screw on easily. I only mention this because I do have a few jars that the lids are really thin and cheap and the colour has worn off and they dont screw on and off easily. These seem good. They screw on tight enough that I can lift the jar by the lid and I dont worry that the lid is going to lift off. Always a good thing when you store sugar and flour in the jars! They were well packaged and arrived safely. I will order these again when I need more.

I had acquired 2 jars many years ago from a friend working in a restaurant. (1st generation recyclers!) They were great for storing my flour and sugar, since I lived in, as I described it, an ant hill! That was many years ago, and the jars served me well. However the lids began to fail, and the jar openings weren't very wide. So my search for replacements began. These jars are perfect! They are the ideal size, not too small or large, with a large mouth for scooping. I had tried a larger jar which did not fit in my kitchen cupboard, and would have been rather heavy when filled. However, these jars fit on/in a standard shelf without a problem. I only needed 2, but they came as a set of 4. Even so, the price could not be argued -- I spent less for 4 than I did for 2 designer jars. And I suspect I will find a purpose for the other 2 before too long. If you are looking for a non-fancy, simple and economical storage solution, this is it!

This is a great product, it has strength to handle F2 carbonation rating for second batch Kombucha fermentation. I have been using these for the past few months and found they work great with no concern for explosion. Just burped my Mango Habanero Kombucha after 2 weeks closed with no issues. This is one of my strongest carbonating blends and is handling it like a pro! My only issue is the lids them self, they become incredibly hard to take off after 2nd fermentation. I would love to see a lid opener for this product specifically designed for this product, other than that, very satisfied!

Not cheap thin glass like some I have bought. Nice weight, metal screw on lids not plastic so I have put them in the dishwasher withput fear of melting. Great for dishwasher pods, nuts and coffee beans! Or anything really! I highly recommend and mouth of jar enables whole hand cleaning without fear of getting stuck.... Lol

The jars are just what I needed. It's just a shame to pay so much for something that is empty.
