Q: How does this rack work with water baths for canning (not in a pressure canner). Do the jars stay stable ?

I bought this rack specifically for canning with smaller half pint jars. I've used it several times and the jars stay stable on the rack during the process. I recently bought the size larger to use in a bigger pot. I like using stock pots with the racks instead of the large canning kettles which are cumbersome to use and don't work on my glass top stove.

Q: I bought 10.4 inch. Is it supposed to be domed up from the legs? The center is 1/4" higher than the outside edge. Pie plates and cake pans slide off.

Use the expanded view on the sales page (5th image) for explanation. The rack does have a slight dome shape to it. There are flat racks available from other vendors.

Q: Can I use this inside a deep fryer?

Hi, don't know about a deep fryer but I use mine inside an air fryer. Use it to double up to cook bacon or potato paddies on bottom with steak on the rack. Hopefully this will help. It' a great rack - heavy duty. Nancy

Q: Can someone tell me the exact dimension of the 6.5 inch? I read that they aren’t exact. Also, are the feet on the edge or inset?

You would measure what you are planning to use this product with and order under that width. 6.5 inches is just that it is 6.5 inches in length and width. I ordered mine for a convection oven rack and I ordered under what the dimensions were and it works great
