Is the fabric part of the chair easily removed to wash and store? I'd like to store the metal part in the garage and the cloth part in the closet.

No the fabric part does now come off. It is a very comfortable chair and easy to set up. I use mind all the time going to ball games. I would recommend it.

Is this chair rainproof? Is the material well suited for rain to just be left outside and won’t mold?

Don’t know as I keep my chair on a covered screened in porch. Previously kept inside storage in an RV.
