Drill Free Sport Clip (Option: f/SE Sport 200/300)

This seems like a well made product but it does not fit a Tohatsu 30 HP engine because the hydrofoil would extend 2 inches too far out.

The SE Sport Drill Free kit is great. I fitted it to a Yamaha 25HP 4 Stroke. I adapted the instructions to suit as the Yamaha lower skeg prevents the kit from locating as far forward as SE Sport say. So I had to use the lower plated as my guide (not the top plate as recommended). Apart from that it was completely hassle free. I bolted an SE200 foil on it and now the boat works like it should.

Says it fits all motors 8HP and up, but it definetely does not fit Mercury 4 stroke motors. You would think they would have included one of the mopst popular motors in the US with the few acceptions they show, but they do not. If you search the web there is plenty of info and videos saying this, but no where on the listing, packagin or on the manufactures website does it mention it will not fit any mercury 4 stroke motor.

I had some doubt re whether SE Sport CLIP would stay connected to the motor but thankfully it did. It seems very solid. My only disappointment was that due to the shape of my 30 hp Mercury motor there is about a 1” gap between the motor and the slot in the Hydrofoil. I did not notice any forced spray coming through the gap so I am pleased with the purchase. The SE Sport 200 Hydrofoil does also get the nose of the boat down quicker after takeoff.

It was a bit awkward to install but the video did help. Since I didn't want to drill into a new motor and possibly negate the warranty, this was a perfect solution.

The product is good but does have it's disadvantages. After it is installed you will need to remove the product to do an impeller water pump change. Upon trying to remove the bolts, they will just spin in the plastic housing, meaning you will have to cut the nuts off the bolts to get the fin off from this unit. In short, you will have to get a new unit every time you want to remove the foot for service of the water pump or any other repair. Not a big fan of spending extra $$$ for a water pump change, which they recommend every other year. I don't plan on buying anymore. Just my 2 cents worth.

I liked the thought of not drilling on my boat motor. After installing this with lackluster directions, I recommend drilling. I would be surprised if mine comes apart at some point, that's the chances I'll take after investing my time and money into thinking this was the easier and simpler route for installing a hydrofoil.

Fit on 40hp Merc no problem and SE 200 foil went on perfectly. Quality product and after watching the suggested video it was easy.

Ne s’adapte pas nativement sur un Suzuki df15A de 2024. Une modification est obligatoire rendant la garantie obsolète. Sinon top pour ne pas percer le moteur.

Want to use it drill free installation but was not listed on description it won't fit with my outboard (suzuki dt15). When received package just the back of the item's cover had a list of incompatibility. Wasted money. Not happy at all.

Les trous pour fixer l’hydrofoil ne s’enligne pas bien sur la plaque de fixation. Aussi les boulons fournis avec les écrous ne son pas compatible. J’ai du acheter les écrous 1/4 moi même.
