We have lived at the beach for going on 9 years. I have spent so much money on tents for the beach. We have 3 young children so some kind of shade is important. This tent is by far the best tent I’ve ever purchased. It was completely set up in less than 2 minutes. And when we were done, it took less than 2 minutes to pack it up (would have taken less if it wasn’t our first time using it) we were able to stay at the beach 2 hours longer than normal because the kids were able to sit in the tent and rest and eat a snack without sand and a break from the sun. 100% recommend this tent!

This canopy is pretty easy to setup for one person unless there is bit wind. A normal sea breeze is okay. Practice inside or with no wind and a flat surface and you'll get it. There are stakes and sandbags included. We use this at the beach and I just dig holes in the sand with my foot for each sand bag holder and kick a pile of sand over it. It has held even in stronger wind. When done take the sand off and tip the canopy up to dump out any sand that got inside and then collapse it. The only pain is trying to fit it back into the bag that it came in. I started just using the bag like a carry strap so tear down is about 2 minutes.

A HUGE tent for a reasonable price, and very simple to put together, collapse and pack up. We were glad we chose the pop-up tent. This tent comfortably held 2-3 adults and 2 kids, with a ton of sand toys and bags, for several very hot and sunny days in August on the Atlantic. It made a HUGE difference in the amount of time we could spend outdoors - no one got burnt, even the redheads, and our heat-sensitive kid tolerated the vacation so much better than past trips. It was a welcome relief to have shade after playing in the sand and waves.Tip: Get a inexpensive umbrella too! We mostly went to the beach in the morning, but as the sun would pass noon it would start shining into the tent. We put an adjustable umbrella in front of the tent for further coverage and easily accommodated the last two adults in our family. Between the umbrella and tent we were by far the most sun-protected family on the beach.We did not use the sand bags, but our book bags were more than heavy enough to keep the tend held down in the wind. It was fairly windy and I could see this tent blowing away easily if it was empty - just any other tent or umbrella.

We are very happy with our purchase. Item is sturdy and very well made. If you are a camper or someone who does a lot of outdoor activities this item is a must! It is great to shield your cooler, food and exceptionally well designed to get a much needed break from the beaming sun or wind . A added plus is the carrying bag with backpack straps.

Very convenient style of tent, setups like an oversized umbrella. I set it up literally in less that a minute as much as folding it back. This is one of the best purchases we’ve made in a long time. It fits 2 adults comfortably OR 2 adults and a teenager who squeezes in between us to read. LOL! The rain and wind have beat the crap out of this little tent and it’s still in great shape.  I am happy with my purchase.

Nice to be able to "pop" the tent open and then reverse the process to close it down. I'm not the most coordinated person either, so it was really nice that after closing the tent I was able to easily get it back into the travel bag. Further, on our third day it was really windy, but the included "sand pockets" helped keep the tent in place as we watched other umbrellas and similar tents get blown over. (We filled all the sand pockets built into the tent, as well as the included extra bags that we attached to each of the tent stakes. Nice touch, it worked!)

We got this with the intent of using it while vacationing at the beach. Getting the tent out of the bag and unfolded was simple enough, but the sand anchors pulled right out of the sand. It was a bit windy, so we filled the sand bags (which was a bit time consuming with 3 kids wanting to get in the water) and put some extra weight in the back end of the tent and it worked. I think just using this in the park for the afternoon or at a festival it would be less trouble.

First day we used the tent it was awesome. Kept us much cooler out of the sun and baby took a nice nap. However, we used it again this weekend and there seemed to be NO airflow going through the tent even with the flaps down. Maybe it was user error and we didn’t position properly with the wind direction.It’s easy to setup and break down. Great for traveling because it folds down into such a small bag. We will definitely be trying this again soon.
