Unbelievable that they work and are so inexpensive!
Great, wonderful, exceptional product! I never believed that these would actually work, was very skeptical. Had a very serious problem with woodpeckers tearing up my deck and wooden furniture on porch. Huge holes! Was desperate. Looked on YouTube and saw a video of a man who had purchased and used these. THEY HONESTLY WORK! and are so inexpensive! I hung them about 9am the next morning after receiving them and have NOT seen a woodpecker since! Unbelievable! What I like most is they aren't ugly and intrusive looking on my home exterior. Not very noticeable at all.

These work great!
I have a pretty large balcony with a lot of trees surrounding it. I’ve lived here for over a decade and never seen birds up here. It wasn’t until I spent a lot of money on new furniture that I noticed droppings all over everything, on the floor everywhere. They were two mourning doves that were here every day. I spent a lot of time cleaning and sanitizing. Came across these and hung all of them up around my balcony, there hasn’t been a bird here since! I didn’t think they were going to work this good based off of the other reviews, but they work perfectly.

Sparrows be gone!
My porch is assaulted by little sparrows cloaca’s this time of year, every year. I didn’t necessarily want to use spikes cause they’re ugly. The clear ones are a bit pricey. And the sparrows take to the space between the porch and the gap of the wall where it protrudes out so there’s maybe 4” or so of space there for them to just chill under. So anything like that would have to go there which makes it tricky. Anyway. These have worked wonders so far. I didn’t have high hopes but these came in clutch. 🐦 They don’t like em. Birds stay tf away from my porch now even if it’s not windy. No more spraying doo doo off my porch every day 🥲 🌀 It’s a fun design like an icicle, maybe a little Christmas-y. About a foot long. No more than an inch in diameter. Not super obnoxious. // my husband said he’d rather deal with bird 💩 than have the house look trashy or ghetto and he hasn’t complained so they look just fine! 🪢 They come already on a stretchy string/rubber band which is convenient so no assembly there but it would be nice to have the ability to tie them to something without having to actually cut that and retie or use another string to wrap around it. Not a huge issue though. ✨ Super reflective, like I said the birds don’t f with it. 💪 it comes with 12 plastic rods, which are semi durable, wont break on their own but they could take damage with enough pressure. More worried about the elastic that comes with it breaking than anything else! 💰 it’s about $1 a piece for a 12 ct pack which is a decent price. Though I say they’re worth more around the 50c-75c range per unit lol Overall I’m happy because the sparrows are leaving my house alone… for now 👀

Recycled after a couple months of failure
These are supposed to scare birds, they do not. The birds I was competing with built nests within inches of them, and flew right past to do so. Also, they come equipped with rubber bands to hang them. A couple months later they are all on the ground, as the bands rotted. And since they didn't work on the birds anyway, into the recycling bin they go!

No Birds and Droppings! Strings break in wind.
They work! I always had trouble with birds building nests under the deck and over my hot tub creating a bird droppings mess. This year I hung these devices and no bird nests or droppings! I’m editing this review as the strings do not hold up to weather and have broken within one month.

I like 'em!
I think they help! I ordered and put these rods up too late in the season, so I'll have a better idea next year, but I think they work to keep birds away. Good spiral design. Good length. Easy to hang. More important, they're easy to remove at the end of the season.

Worked to stop cardinal from pecking on the window
It's so nice when something actually works! We have cardinals who peck at various windows on out house every spring. They literally do it all day long and it's annoying. Not to mention, probably not very good for them either. So far we've only had one bird start to peck but hanging these outside in front of the window did the trick. The bird is gone and so far hasn't moved to another window. All is quiet now. We strung three together using binder rings to attach them to each other because we have tall windows. The binder rings made the process super simple.

Doesn't work with my Woodpecker
I have a stucco house, and earlier this year we heard the familiar sound of a woodpecker out front. Sure enough, he was pecking away at the stucco. Since we’ve had other birds damage it in the past, I was looking for a quick solution. The Reflective Scare Rod is not that solution—at least not for the woodpecker currently remodeling my home. Either he’s really smart and knows it won’t hurt him, or he’s really dumb and completely lacks situational awareness. Either way, he wins (Woodpecker 1, Me 0). I tried to get a photo of him with the scare rod hanging about 12 inches away, but he’s extremely camera-shy and disappears the moment I show up. Bottom line: it’s not effective, though it doesn’t seem to harm the bird (maybe just his emotional well-being). There’s really nothing to break, so the quality is fine. Worst case, maybe they double as decorations for a very large Christmas tree!
