Uncle Mike's Law Enforcement Mirage Basketweave Ultra Duty Belt with Hook and Loop Lining

Mirage gear is a nylon belt that looks like leather. This belt is lighter than leather, and works well for carrying your gear. Best if you buy the matching Ultra inner duty belt as the inner velcro will match up (This belt has "HOOK" on the inside which matches up with inner duty belts that have "Loop" on the outside.) Wears comfortably, and with the Ultra inner duty belt, it stays in place. It also comes with a buckle attachment to hang your gear from a hook or hanger in a locker or closet. The belt is stiff and holds up you gear extremely well. When you adjust the belt to your waist, you fold the belt back to the inside, where it attaches to the inner velcro lining of the belt itself. The velcro in this area will not grab on to the inner duty belt. I use a set of belt keepers to help keep everything in place and secure on either side of the buckle. The basket-weave pattern matches well with real leather basket-weave patterns on both Safariland and Gould and Goodrich duty gear, so you can save a bit of money buying this belt and still get a quality holster and mag pouches. Check the sizes carefully when ordering, you may need to go one size larger.

I really like this belt. It is so light you could take it hiking or hunting. It looks good and is properly stiff enough for a good draw, but flexible enough to work with when adding accessories. My only complaint is that on one of the ends, the outer material tends to peel back when you work the plastic keeper back and forth when adding gear. Its a small flaw though, on an otherwise stellar piece of equipment, and something that can easily be fixed with a dab of glue. This one definately won't be going back to Amazon!

After trying many other duty belts I was afraid to order the uncle mikes. I was a little skepticism at the durability and stability of the belt, however I have now been using the same belt for over 4 years and it has had no issues. It is very ridgid for support but offered a lot of adjustability to it. This is the best belt I have found to date. Should this belt evert be worn out I will order another to replace it.

My go to leather belt was a bit worn after the years and I needed another just like it for a ceremony. It's... cheap, but not cheap enough to justify the price for other premium brands I've used in this price range. Its a bit flimsy, the plastic clip holders and the buckle are barely rigid enough to hold your own gear. I feel like it's going to break at any minute and absolutely would not trust it in any scuffle. If they upgraded the buckle, it would be solid enough for me to justify it for the price, but I really wouldn't buy this again unless I was under a time crunch. Outside of that, its comfortable enough. Easy to adjust. One of the few basketweave belts that are a true 2'' belt. *Friendly tip, make sure you're attachments are 2'' and not 2.25" like most attachments. Otherwise, you'll have your gear sliding all around your belt unless you add an extra belt keeper or two in strategic places.

This is one really stiff belt. To give some perspective on that: it arrived in a 4-foot long narrow box, likely because it was too much trouble to bend it for packaging. I bought it to be worn as garrison belt, as foundation for a belt with all the competition gear that I put over warm clothes and rain jacket, right on top of this one. Tried today, and confirmed that my setup is now much more stable than it was when I used a narrower, 1.25" belt. Gear on outer belt is moving much less. Highly recommend as inner belt to anyone who does not want to use a pair of Velcro-attached inner and outer belts. Nice touch - it comes with a horseshoe-shaped buckle insert, so with the insert plugged in it can be hanged on a hook. Very practical, as this belt tends to straighten if not buckled or held by pants.

Good belt for the price. I wore it for a little while before jumping to a Safe-Life belt. I keep this belt as a backup just in case or a secondary belt. Seems to be durable and fits well. The buckle is plastic but appears to hold well without issues.

It was a great belt...but I ordered it for my husband thinking it was a certain kind of gun belt...I did not realize that it was a utility belt. Completely my mistake! But I cant attest to how it works because he didn't use it!

I believe this belt has saved my back! Anything that would make my 12.5 hours feel lighter, I was willing to try. I noticed a difference as soon as I put on the belt. I have told all of my partners about it. I don't use the Velcro, just my keepers to keep the belt in place. Pros: Light weight. professional look. quick release of belt Cons - belt is thicker than leather. Most of my department issued items slid smoothly onto the belt except for my gun holster. A lot of pushing/pulling/wiggling to try and get the holster onto the belt.

High quality, very similar to my work belt that has seen better days.
