Naomi: Season One Hardcover – October 29, 2019

This book is phenomenal! SO much heart! I've owned this for a while now but am just getting around to reading it and just like that Naomi is absolutely one of my favorites! This is an amazing and beautiful hero origin story about a girl, an orphan, with a mysterious past trying to find herself after insane events spark curiosity. What comes next is wild and a unexpected journey into mythical powers and otherworldly dangers! Typical hero tropes but done in such a heartfelt, relatable way. Ravenously craving more! I need Season 2 asap!

Naomi is such a cool new DC character! She is feisty, intelligent, responsible, curious, persistent, and so interesting! Her backstory is intriguing and I can’t wait to learn more about it and her powers. She is very culturally relevant today! Thank you for creating her and I can’t wait for future Naomi comics!

Art was great. The story was good. But Naomi is the story of an African American girl written by a white, make Brit. I miss Milestone.

Great story and exposition!! I bought this at first because it is rare fo me to see such creative mainstream works with black (female especially) leads. Although I hoped for more action I appreciated the storytelling and how the character and her motivation didn’t seemed forced or stagnant. Naomi is a powerhouse and I can’t wait to see where her as a character is taken in the future.

This is a fantastic story! The only issue I have is that the dust cover is misleading lol. The only Justice League member who makes an appearance is Superman but it does have a surprising tie in to the DC universe. I highly recommend buying.

Bendis releasing a new line of comics, Wonder Comics, is a very exciting time, and the line seems great. But the issues in Season one are slow, setting up the story. I waited for a payoff but didn't feel like I found one. Naomi herself is a good character, whom I think could become amazing. The art is quite beautiful. I'm waiting for season two. Picking that up as soon as I can.

Fantastic comic book! It’s about time that African Americans get highlighted in a comic! Especially an African American woman!
