ALASTIN Skincare HydraTint Pro Mineral Tinted Sunscreen SPF 36 (3.2 oz)

I am incredibly picky about sunscreen, tinted moisturizers, etc. I have tried and returned dozens. I check the Yukka app (download it!) for safety of ingredients. I test for stinging of the eyes or does it itch or burn my sensitive skin. Now I will say, a lot of Korean sunscreens are great for lightweight, lotion-y feel, but they’re terrible at using endocrine disrupting ingredients. (Oh, you wanted to have kids? So sorry). Or, they burn my eyes horrifically if any gets in them. After trying many, many, many brands, including those sold at a dermatologists office, I now wear this product as my daily foundation. It’s that good. Applies with the right amount of slip (has some silicone) and the coverage is just enough to hide my constantly rosy cheeks and oddly purple eyelids. 🙄 It is slightly shiny upon application but dries down in minutes to a natural skin look. Works well under makeup but I find I don’t need to add makeup. I am a light-medium cool to neutral skin tone if that helps. The product is a beige color so it’s not going to match everyone it just kind of neutralizes the cast of the mineral SPF. If you sweat you will need to apply (I know, duh, but I had to learn it again the hard way). Problem? This gets a Yukka score of 26 (bad) for two ingredients (a preservative that many products also have as well as a silicone). I’ve decided I’m going to stay with this product because the performance is just excellent and my skin seems to love it. No breakouts, no stings, no rashes. Note - as a mineral sunscreen, you really have to double cleanse to get this stuff off at the end of the day.

I highly recommend this sunscreen if you have melasma. It is pretty thick and has a beautiful color which makes you look like you're wearing foundation without the heaviness of foundation and the added benefit of SPF protection. I don't like wearing foundation so I wear this one instead. I do recommend layering it over a higher SPF mineral sunscreen. I use my Anthelios 50 first if I'm going to be spending any time out in the sun but since that one has a white cast I add a layer of this one on top and it makes my skin look glowy and flawless and it also disguises the melasma spots. I used this one alone in the winter and it seemed to keep the melasma at bay. I always get compliments on my skin when I use this product.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really happy with this sunscreen. It goes on smooth, isn’t greasy, and the tint gives my skin a nice, even look without feeling like makeup. I also like that it’s fragrance-free and keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day. A little goes a long way, so it’s been worth the price for me.

I love this product! Fair warning, it was a little too dark for me, but I am a very fair redhead. I bought a white pigment mixer for foundation, and just add a drop when I apply each morning, and it is perfect! This has replaced my everyday CC cream. It does have lighter coverage than a typical CC cream, but perfect if you have a fairly clear complexion. And it is light enough that I can workout in it. I wore it on a week long hiking trip, and no breakouts! It is pricey, but huge and replaces multiple products. I got it on prime day and will restock the next time it goes on sale.

I’ve tried a lot of tinted sunscreens, and this is by far the best. It doesn’t pill under makeup, dries down to a beautiful matte finish, and feels lightweight on my skin. I was even able to use it after microneedling over a thick layer of healing balm, and it didn’t irritate my skin at all. It provided great coverage and was incredibly gentle during the healing process. I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

I’m in love with this product 💓 I’ve been struggling to find something that works like a foundation ever since I got a MOXI laser treatment. For some reason, regular foundation doesn’t sit on my skin the way it used to, it either slides off my face or makes my skin look cakey. This product feels light, absorbs beautifully into my skin, and gives a much more natural look. I pair it with concealer and set everything with powder, and it looks amazing. Yes, it’s pricey, but it actually works and feels good on the skin. I also love that it includes sunscreen, which is a huge plus. I’ll definitely be buying it again!

A+++ Absolutely LOVE this product. Provides 50 SPF in a lightly tinted, unscented, incredibly smooth form. Beautiful finish on my face; sort of a matte but silky look. This has replaced my tinted moisturizer. Just the perfect coverage for me. Recommended to me by me aesthetician.

Fantastic coverage and great performance for a tinted sunscreen, it's more like a medium coverage foundation and nice to have that all in one product. It isn't greasy and did not clog my large pores. I have comedone prone combination skin and experienced zero issues with it. The only reason I take a star off is because while the color was OK for me on days 21-60 after getting a laser treatment (it made my skin temporarily darker and redder), now that I'm past day 60 since treatment my skin is back to its normal fair color and this product now appears extremely dark and orange on me - this is why they say it works for "most" skin tones. If you wear light to medium foundation colors: this will probably work really well for you unless you have a very cool skin tone. Or if you tan your body but not your face: this will give you a very warm bronze look to fair colored skin. If you aren't sure: I recommend getting a sample of it first before committing to a full size or travel size bottle. I love Alastins other products, they have the best C serum I've ever used in my life, the HA serum was the only one that didn't make my skin sting after laser treatment, and the Nectar is chef's kiss for post laser care. Don't overlooks this brand, just use caution with the color of this sunscreen. If you are fair like me, Alastin also offers the Silk Shield sunscreen which goes on with no color or white cast and performs very well under foundation, that is the one I shifted to once my skin tone went back to normal 60 days after laser treatment.
