This was very easy to install and there are tons of helpful videos online. The way the curb installs has me questioning how well it would survive being accidentally kicked, but we did a flood test on it for two days after installation and the water level didn’t move at all.

I have been using Schluter Kerdi shower products for nearly 20 years. I used to use a liner and pack a shower with mortar for my shower pan. This Schluter Kerdi kit makes it so much easier. It is simple to install and cut down to size. And when I have needed it a little bigger shower than the included pan I have added a dry pack to fill in and make it larger and used the waterproof membrane included in the kit to make the additional pan waterproof as well. The included instructions are very helpful and complete. The install is pretty simple. I have the thinset mixed according to the instructions having it thin enough to adhere to the waterproofing membrane. I paid particular attention to the edges and corners of the shower floor. This particular kit I used to make a no entry corner shower.

This is a fantastic show system!!!? We have used these products in other projects and are excited to use them again!!!! Highly recommended!!

It is a lot of work to install, but worth it! Great Product.

None of our self done remodel projects is ever easy, but this was the appropriate part for the job.

Shower came out terrific, pan was so easy to use.

Wish was more cost friendly

This was my first time installing a Kerdi shower system. I am building a home and would say I am an expert DIYer. I have built a custom shower with a traditional dry pack mortar base in my current home. But with this new build I didn't want to have to do that again. Enter the Schluter Kerdi shower system. So so so much better. Much quicker and many fewer points of failure. Which when it comes to waterproofing a shower, there are many. I was very happy with my kit that I received and unpacked everything once arrived. I did notice that the drain grate was not in my box however. I looked at the front of the box and there it says that the drain grate is included as well as a picture of the grate itself. I re-checked the amazon listing and it also stated the grate was included. Unfortunately I had already begun installing the base before I realized the cost of the grate itself and that I was going to have to spend another $60 for the grate that should have been included. I spent $410 on this kit on Amazon thinking I was going to save $40 vs. buying from home depot or lowes, but when not everything is included the headache and extra money spent to fill the kit is not worth the risk. I am sure I am a unique scenario where not all parts are included, but with the peace of mind and convenience with purchasing through home depot or lowes I would recommend purchasing through them to avoid this issue.
