The sound quality is great, the battery life is amazing and the built in rechargeable battery pack with included charging cable makes everything that much more awesome. Having both inputs work simultaneously is awesome and not a feature I've seen in many similar products. For my specific use it's perfect. The low profile mic fits comfortably inside my helmet without having to adjust any padding the amp/speaker fits like it was custom made into my TB pouches with enough room for a small mp3 player to run TK Chatter on. Excellent piece of equipment.

Use this clipped on to my trooper armor belt and it works great. It's actually really loud. I find myself having to turn it down a lot. The headset fits well inside the trooper bucket and doesn't get in the way. The cord accessories are a nice addition. Overall great piece.

I got this on the recommendation from some 501st members to use as a voice amp for a Stormtrooper outfit. The voice part works great, however the line-in jack is supposed to work simultaneously with voice output. Many 501st members use the line-in feature of these kinds of amps to add ambience sound effects and fake voice chatter via an MP3 player that is plugged into the line-in. This feature worked for 5 minutes when testing, and then started to not work at all. Upon further examination, the weight of the line-in cable itself was just enough to put a small amount of pressure on the jack and make it stop working. I tested this with multiple devices and they all had the same symptom, so this is definitely an issue with the amp itself. If you physically put pressure in the opposite direction, it will function again, but it will break as soon as you let go. If this is replaced or repaired, I will adjust my rating to a much higher value, but at this point is is a $50 paperweight.

Make sure to use it as instructed because if you wear the unit on your side, you can get skreaching feedback from the mike when it gets close to metal it seems. The microphone stopped working after a low number of uses. When I contacted the company and proved that the mike was the problem, they promptly sent a replacement, which works good.

Worked just as it should. Microphone fit under my helmet great and was perfectly comfortable for the five hour troop (in costume). Speaker box clipped to my utility belt securely. It is a great voice amplifier right out of the box. I think two things disappoint me. One is the size of the speaker box. It won't hide well under a TK's armor and basically has to be worn on the utility belt. A Sandtrooper might be able to locate it in a backpack. A TK will have to get creative and technical to hide the speaker components in the armor. Another feature it does NOT have is voice activation. The mic is constantly "hot" and so everything under the helmet is broadcast at all times. Be careful what you say and do under the helmet. Seller, TK Electronics, shipped immediately! My dad uses this in a costume for work (60 hours a week). He said the original he got (3 years ago) battery wasn't lasting as long and he needed a replacement. He's always been happy with the product. From my perspective, since he uses it a LOT and is just now replacing it, it sounds good for its intent.

Once I got the box I tried it out and it sounded great. This past Saturday I was able to use it in my stormtrooper armor and it sounds perfect. Everyone was able to hear what I was saying and I was able to hear myself as well. The voice box is well worth it
