While snorkeling on the Great barrier reef in Australia, my head got too much sun. I bought this to stop the sun from burning my head and it really works. This is easy to put on and take off. You can barely feel it while snorkeling. I highly recommend this item.

Very thin material, but it does state it's for tropical waters, and would aid in getting a neoprene hood off one's head. It was rather loose on my head. It kept shifting backwards but I have a small head and very thin hair. It did help to corral my mid-length hair during a week of Caribbean diving and I kept it on during surface intervals to avoid sunburn.

I have an extra large head and it works really well. The flared out base stays underneath my rash guard easily and definitely protects my head from torching sun and jellyfish among other seaweed and garbage floating on the surface of the water. Definitely worth the money and good quality stitching. You don't need sunscreen wearing this hood.

This is a great "Warm Water" hood. It protects you from getting sunburned, and keeps your hair under control. I use it in water above 70/21 degrees. I have had mine for over a year and have used it many, many times. It is well made and holds up very well under normal use. Be aware, this is a large hood and will fit most men and larger women.

Perfect fit (I have a large head for a girl...seriously, like a melon lol) and a chubby little face. So I was expecting this to make my cheeks look like a playdough factory and to slide off my head.But it was great for my costume, it kept sliding our and over my neck line but that was due to the movement of my fat suit lol. I'm sure divers dig it too hahs

Previously had a neoprene cap, which was okay, but snorkeling is a warm weather activity, so I hated the fact that I would overheat during the day. This hood is super lightweight and you don't even know it's there. Spent two weeks snorkeling pretty much every day and avoided getting sunburned or additional skin damage.
