Ensenior 12 Pack 6 Inch LED Recessed Light, 5000K Dimmable Canless Wafer

Original Review: Added 4 lights to a kitchen with a supposedly compatible dimmer switch but 3 of the 4 lights began to flicker after just a few months. I removed the dimmer switch and replaced it with a standard single pole switch but 3 of the 4 lights ultimately failed barely a year later. Troubleshot the issue and the problem is in the circuit card within the box. Not impressed! UPDATE: March 2, 2023: The company reached out to me and completely rectified my issue. I had originally installed 12 of these lights in multiple rooms and the only problem to date was with 3 of 4 kitchen lights that were on a compatible dimmer switch. I replaced the light boxes and used the same original lights with no further issue in the kitchen. The other 9 of 12 lights work great and have had no issues. The cause of the light failure was the supposedly compatible dimmer switch. I did not trouble shoot the cards as I replaced the 3 boxes. The company resolved my issues and I can say it stands behind this product so I am completely satisfied and upgrading my review. In fact, I was so satisfied that I even ordered a second box of 12 lights for additional future projects. Updated the review to 5 stars based upon the customer service and because the other 9 of 12 lights continue to fully function with no issues. Just beware that a dimmer switch could potentially cause issues with these lights. These lights are extremely bright at 5k so in the future I will just cut down on the number of lights installed rather than use a dimmer switch.

These lights are bright! I have a 3 car garage and I installed all 12 in my garage. I love everything bright and in my opinion you can never have too much light. I did not use a dimmer. They were easy to install. The metal box things with the transformer in it (one for each light) is a bit flimsy, a few bent very slightly as I pushed the wires through them but they were easy to bend right back and close the doors on them. The quick connects make life so much easier, in fact this was my major reason for buying this brand. I used 14/2 wire because I couldn't find 16/2. At 12watts each light, that's only 144 watts for the entire circuit, which is just over 1 amp. 14/2 romex wire is good for 15amps, so it's a bit overkill. But, I could not find any information on the specs of the push in connectors (they are not the common 'Ideal' brand from Home depot or lowes) so I wasn't sure if they would be rated for 16/2 anyways. 14/2 was the safe bet, and a 250' roll of it at Home depot or lowes is just under $40. The only other thing I had to buy is the push in wire protectors for each box. I used one on each side for the boxes that had one wire in - one wire out. I used a piece of 1/2" pvc pipe to "fish" the wires from one hole to another so I didn't have to get in the attic. I only got up there in the attic one time to get the feed that used to feed the fluorescents I was replacing, I just moved it over to the first light in the series and ran from one light to the next until I had all of them connected. I did kinds cheat and borrow a laser from a good friend and that helped me immensely.

Durability / Reliability The light fixture itself seems pretty solid and durable. The spring clips are more of a concern for me. Spring kind of easily falls off the retainer holding it to the light but once its in place is fine. Also the spring tension almost seems too strong because when I had to remove a fixture to reposition it the spring almost broke out the drywall. Functionality / Versatility I've installed numerous ceiling lights through the years and by far these are the the easiest - Just 'plug n play'! No can needed, and easily strung together in series. As it turns out they are brighter than I expected for my kitchen so I've added a dimmer switch for versatility. Summary Where have these fixtures been all my life!? I've installed numerous ceiling lights through the years. I only planned to use these in the kitchen, but after seeing results I'm replacing utility room, closets, hallway, shop, etc... High quality, bright light, low energy consumption and cost efficient. I'll be purchasing more.

I was looking for some very lightweight recessed lighting to install during a drop-ceiling remodel and was very glad that I came across these beauties on Amazon. I was somewhat concerned about quality since they were so inexpensive, but my fears were quickly allayed when I unboxed them. The lights and electrical boxes were very well packaged. The connection boxes come with push connectors already installed on the three leads, making installation super easy. In fact, after I received them, I wired one of the lights up to an old power cord, just to see how much light they put out. The housing and spring clips on the lights appear to be very well made. Because they do put out so much light, I ended up only needing to install 6 of them in the 12'x17' dining room that I was working on... and the impression that I get from people when I first turn the lights on is "Wow!". I can't speak to the longevity as I just installed them, but so far I am very impressed with packaging, quality of the lights and connection boxes, ease of installation, appearance and light output.

Good: Lights are super easy to install. Nice and bright as well. The connector inside the junction box is a nice touch and makes it convenient over using wire nuts. Bad: l have a daylight (5000k) color lamp light bulb from Home Depot that I really like the color of. I ordered the daylight version of these lights but was disappointed to see that the daylight (5000k) version has more blue than I would have liked. It could be that the Home Depot one is more on the yellow side but I really like that color better. Unfortunately it's too late since I've already installed the lights and don't want to take them out. This is disappointing but the lights are really easy to install so I didn't want to take off more than 1 star. Other thoughts: Make sure to other wire clamps separately as this does not come with those and you need them to install properly.

I like it easy to install and has a bright light!

I like everything about these lights, easy to install, thin profile no worry about rafters, brightness, color i ordered, everything to me are good. Now the one negative that really should be noted and explained and that is very important to me. I have purchased 48 of these lights from Amazon. Of the 48 i have installed about 24. Of the 24 installed i have had 4 to go bad. Found by my own trouble shooting. problem to be not the light but the power box itself. This could be a long story but to the point i will make it shorter. Did a contact via email to tech support and to my surprise received a message the next day with an apology and a few questions. Asked me if i could send back to them the bad units so as to try and find the problem and correct it for future customers. This other part that is important to me, they not only paid the return shipping cost buy replaced the bad units as well. Received the new units in 2 days and my credit account has been setup for a refund. I have to say i love everything about the lights and to my surprise the tech support is top of the class. I will for sure purchase more of these lights from this vendor as needed. I do hope others who read this review will understand tech support is very important. Excellent pot lights - compact, bright, well-made. Loved that light panel is clear and consistent, no darker or brighter spots. And small size of the transformer made it for a clean, compact installation. Very good product, glad I went for it.

Super simple install. The hole cutting template was a nice touch. Installed a dozen in just over an hour including removal of the old pot lights. Super easy wiring connector came with the new boxes, very plug and play! Nice bright lights, and Dimmable feature was nice.

I love this lights. Make me very happy. Excellent quality. This lights are my beat purchase in 4 years to be honest. The best of the best. Look amazing. Thank for for those lights.
