Wow! This unit is great!
Highly recommended. We have a high end vacuum cleaner that is fantastic but it was damaged in an accident so I have been holding off repairing it (I can repair to myself) until I have some time to sit down with it. So I had this idea to buy a stick vacuum, which would cost a very small amount compared to buying a full sized unit. That was OK, the problem with the very low cost units are that they take longer to clean the floor because they are not powerful, and they take effort to clean. Worse still, long human hair, from the ladies in my household, would get tangled in the brush roller and I would have to cut it out carefully every time I clean the floor, taking as long to clean the brush as it did to actually clean the floor. Then I ran it over a hook that is used to hang Christmas Tree ornaments and brush unit was damaged. I performed a repair as best as I could (this low cots units are not meant to be repaired) and it was out of warranty, so it was now working but would stall easily once it pick up a few strands of hair because I did not have replacement parts so it was hobbling along. I got tired of the hobbled stick vacuum and wanted to replace it but now knowing that stick vacuums are not as powerful nor robust as the hyper expensive full powered vacuum cleaners I did some research to find something that was more powerful, could handle long hair, was more powerful and robust as well. That is how I got to this Bissell unit. This unit is far more powerful even though its listed as a stick vacuum It deals with long hair (and presumably pet fur as well) extremely well, so far its not wrapped itself around the brush, it all got captured in the dust container It pulls up a huge amount of dust from the carpet (we had a recent, unexpected, massive dust storm) which the previous stick vacuum left behind, which was rather astounding and easily visible in the front mounted large capacity clear dust container. It also is super easy to dump the contents, you really do just push the button and the trap door on the bottom flips open allowing all the dust and hair to drop straight into the dust bin, so easily. If you turn the powered brush on (which you would always do for carpets) the brush is powerful enough to pull the unit forward so its easy to get it to move and and it steers very rapidly so you can get around furniture legs easily as well. This unit is impressive, is a very good deal for its price, its far ore powerful than expected and picks up more dust and hair than our previous (top rated) stick vacuum so its worth trying this unit for your home.

Works better than my $1600 Kirby!
I got this vacuum the other day on a whim as a small+light vacuum to have on hand to just hit my downstairs floor everyday as like a “pass over” then I’d use my kirby once a week for a deep clean idk if that even makes sense ANYWAY MY LOGIC DOESNT MATTER I CAME HERE TO SAY THIS IS THE CHEAPEST VACUUM CLEANER IVE EVER OWNED AND IT IS ALSO THE ABSOLUTE BEST VACUUM IVE EVER USED…. like it’s GENUINELY insane. EVERYONE SHOULD OWN IT!!! especially if you have pets literally used this 1.5 days after vacuuming with my kirby (which i do clean and maintain so it still should be working well and i THOUGHT it was) and this vacuum got soooo much extra shit out of my carpet just dust and pet hair + I didn’t have to clean the vacuum at all after using it bc usually I have to clean my kirby roller brush off after every single use even using it everyday bc for some reason there was always a metric ton of hair that got wrapped around the brush and it was becoming such a pain to have to take apart a vacuum everyday and clean it after i just used it to clean the floor. ALSO the extensions are awesome and so easy to use and switch and they even have spots to stash all the extension brushes ON THE VACUUM instead of like a bag or something!!! AND you can use it on any surface and it actually works well on all of them, there’s a switch on the handle that adjusts how close the brush goes to the floor for various surfaces and carpet types (i literally vacuumed my kitchen floor yesterday with this mf, and will only be doing that from now on bc I hate sweeping and have always felt like it doesn’t get anything clean enough). it’s easy to move around and picks everything up quick with one pass, cord length is actually really great in my opinion too. I’ve always used corded vacuums and rewrapping the cord has always felt tedious but this baby makes that step extra worth it because it works so well!

The dirt this vacuum picked up left me obsessed with my new vacuum
I love this vacuum! I’m going to start with MY cons for those just looking for negatives, but please read on because I have more positive things than negative things to say. Cons: The hose gets twisted very easy when going back and forth between the vacuum and hose. Simple to untwist. The joint from the head to the motor/body is just a little more weak than I’d like. If I’m using the hose and reaching too far it will fall over, while the head stays on the floor. I can see how this would be beneficial for anyone that has decreased strength when trying to vacuum normally, but for me it’s annoying. I just keep my vacuum body right next to me with my hand on the top if I’m really reaching. The standard filter it comes with is not sealed in plastic. I wish I would’ve used the standard filter first instead of the sealed fabreze filter it additionally came with. The standard filter is basically collecting dust in my cleaning pantry. For smaller solid debris it clogged easily. Sunflower seed shells specifically. It was easy to take apart and fix though. Sometimes hair gets caught around the green center in the canister. If you give the canister a twisty-shake it will fall off into two pieces, and subsequently into the trash. It’s just messy to get loose. There is no place on the vacuum to attach the roller, so you’ll have to find somewhere to store it. The Pros/ background; Our first vacuum was a shark navigator.... 5 years ago. It worked great in our tiny apartment for $150 but then pets, kids, moving, and a crack in the bottom hose happened and it just wasn’t doing the job anymore. We have 3 cats, so I wanted something that I KNEW would get ALL the cat hair. I order the Bissell from amazing warehouse for $160 versus the $230 (ish) it costs brand new. It was in the original box, there was no dust in the tubing, and all of the pieces were still individually wrapped in bissell bags. My order took a little over a week to arrive, and I didn’t vacuum from the moment I ordered it. Normally I would’ve vacuumed 5 times in that time frame. When it arrived it took about 5 minutes to assemble and read all the instructions/warnings. I first used my old vacuum to vacuum my 9’x11’ rug - then I used the bissell. I love validating a big purchase, and this definitely SHOWED me it was worth getting a new vacuum, especially this one. We do not wear shoes in our house - and I carpet clean between every 2 weeks to once a month (I like how it fluffs my carpet). I expected the vacuum to outperform my 5 year old shark... but I didn’t expect what you see in the pictures. It picked up all of the super fine cat hairs, and so, SO MUCH DIRT. 🤢 I cannot believe all of that was in my rug, which I’ve only had 17 months. The pictures speak for themselves... it has amazing suction power. The attachments are nice also, I like the LED wand, and the pet hair rubber tipped one even more. The attachment that rolls when you connect it is nice for the stairs, but aside from the rubber coated roller inside, it is similar to others I’ve used before. It maneuvers wonderfully, with a twist of the wrist to makes very smooth turns. Because of the way the head is attached to the motor you are able to turn the head basically 90 degrees while keeping the motor/body of the vacuum straight. That makes getting around my dining table chairs much faster when I’m not moving all of the chairs. I liked that the handle, where your thumb would naturally rest, is where you adjust for carpet thickness. Moving from plush carpet to my rug is fast because I just flip the vent with my thumb for lower carpet setting. The hose is great on the handle, and has equal suction ability as the vacuum (if not more). Mine came with a Febreze filter insert in addition to the unscented original. It does smell amazing when running my vacuum, and is surprisingly only noticeable when running the vacuum. This is not mandatory to use if you are sensitive to smells. It comes in with a non scented filter.

I'm really happy with this vacuum cleaner
I'm really happy with this vacuum cleaner I really like the vacuum cleaner and how it swivels very easily. Also it picked up more out of our carpet than our old vacuum cleaner ever did because we just use our old vacuum cleaner before it broke and then we ran this one over it once it came in the mail and it picked up a lot of stuff that shouldn't have been there if we had just vacuumed. It's very lightweight and easy to use. I will say it's hard to vacuum rugs with it even if they are thin rugs and I haven't figured out why but it makes it easier if you turn on the high pile option. It says that the roller doesn't pick up hair but I think it just means long pet hair maybe because my hair definitely gets stuck to the roller but it's really easy to get off. Overall I would say the real value is and how much it picked up compared to my old vacuum cleaner which was only 6 years old.

Well, well worth the money.
I'm retired so I don't need a job but I could be a salesman for this vacuum cleaner. I have a short haired dog who has a dense undercoat. I am amazed how much hair this vacuum picks up each time I vacuum and I vacuum on a weekly basis. The brush never clogs with hair, fine string or anything. My old vacuum had tubes going to the bag and they would clog because of all the hair it was trying to pick up. None of that with this. It's easy to clean because it breaks down with a couple of push buttons and you can easily wash the plastic canister. Again, I'm normally not completely satisfied with my purchases over time but this is all that it is cracked up to be and more.

Replacing after only two years. Worst vacuum I have ever had...
I purchased this vacuum over two years ago to replace an older Shark vacuum I had always thought worked well in a home with dogs. I had gotten a new border collie puppy about six months before buying this pet vacuum. I have always had border collies, but the rough coat (longer haired) type and the new one was a smooth coat with medium length hair. Who knew managing dog hair for a smooth coat BC would be more work than a rough coat! Rough coat hair doesn't get all over every surface.... it has this tendency to gravitate towards itself and form balls of fluff in corners and along baseboards that are easy to vacuum up. And honestly I think a lot of it stays either where they lay the most or on the dog til brushed out. Smooth coat hair? OMG it's everywhere. And clings to everything as it seems to get more staticky than the longer hair. It also weaves itself into fabrics and just becomes very difficult to remove. Where I used to just have one vacuum, now I have a full sized vac, stick vac, hand held pet vac, Chom Chom roller, a couple other hair scrapers, and a slew of tape rollers. I am not a freakishly clean person (will say slightly above normal to normal) it's just the hair situation is truely that bad. But I love my dog so just accept this is my new normal ☺️ While I loved my Shark vacuum, it was not a pet hair model (didn't need one with the longer haired BCs!) and was older and I was having trouble keeping up with the new hair situation. So researched good pet vacuums and this Bissell kept popping up with good reviews. Purchased one in September of 2023, retired my Shark, and have regretted it ever since. Here is why: - Horrible edge cleaning. Won't pick up anything within 1/2 -1" of the edge of the vacuum head. This also means the true cleaning width of each vacuum pass is 1-2" less than the width of the vacuum head, meaning more passes to get things clean and having to use the crevice tool more. -The "no-hair wrap" brush pulled up fibers from my large living room area rug that MELTED to the surface of the roller. I had to PEEL them off. Bissells solution? Buy a new roller for a brand new vacuum. I ended up having to replace the rug. - Power and suction/surface controls are half way down the vacuum so you have to stop and bend over to change settings. In my house this is very inconvenient compared to my Shark where all controls were on the handle and I could change settings while still in motion. My house is all hard surface floors with large and small area rugs scattered throughout, so control placement on this vacuum is just a pain. - Bissells claim that you won't have to reach in the canister to pull out hair? Not true. Had to do it all the time. - Plate on the bottom of the vacuum leaves a strip almost 2" wide that with each pass is NOT being vacuumed. You can see it in the pattern of the rug. Which just meant more passes needed. - Small canister that I have to empty at least once to do my entire house. - The pet attachment for the hose for upholstery cleaning? OMG that thing is LOUD. After a session of vacuuming couch cushions my boyfriend asked me why I was yelling while we were in the car headed out for a dog walk....I realized it was due to some temporary hearing loss from using the pet attachment for over half an hour. Wish I was exaggerating...🥴 - And this one is just petty, but the cord will never stay in the cord holder on the handle. That one is just an annoyance, but thought I would mention it. After over two years and hoping this thing would just DIE, I broke down and bought a new Shark pet vacuum. This Bissell vacuum just didn't cut it for my needs and after a while my house didn't smell clean anymore with regular vacuuming and large area rugs needed shampooing more often. Right out of the box I used the new Shark on the large area rug in my living room where the dog spends most of her time and that I had just vacuumed a few days before with the Bissell. It pulled up more hair than the Bissell would after not vacuuming for a week! (Don't judge.... life gets busy and sometimes I just have to ignore all the hair...). After just finishing using the Shark to vacuum my entire house I have zero regrets sending this thing to a donation center. Maybe it will work for someone elses pet hair situation, though some of my issues with this vacuum are just poor design. A whole house vacuum with the Shark took less time due to good edge cleaning and cleaning along the full width of the vacuum, no need for a crevice tool to do edges, and only having to empty the canister when I was done (despite it picking up more hair and dirt). I also didn't have to break out the stick vac to get under furniture since I got a Lift Away Shark model. No regrets with this new vac other than wasting a few hundred dollars on a brand of vacuum I now know to stay away from.

I Love This Vacuum!
I was so excited when this arrived on my porch. I had been using hand-me-down vacuums for years, and it was finally time that we were able to get a brand new one. I scoured reviews on Amazon and Reddit to try and determine which vacuum would be best. I thought that I would get a Dyson, but after reading a sparkling review for this vacuum on Reddit (and the reviews on Amazon), I decided this was the vacuum for us. I have vacuumed almost daily (sometimes twice) since we got it, because I love how much it sucks. :D Seriously, I danced around with it as I watched what it picked up that our old vacuum just couldn't. I used to have to change out vacuum bags, and now it is a simple canister-dump! We have cats, and our litter boxes set on carpet with litter catching mats. As much as these mats help, sometimes litter gets into the carpet. This vacuum seems to get every tiny particle of dust and litter - it is wonderful. It works on both carpet and tile. It is quite easy to maneuver around the furniture, and the canister can be moved to the side to get under low furniture. It would be difficult to vacuum under the bed with this vacuum due to the canister not fitting under the bed. It goes up against the wall easily and cleans well. The attachments are wonderful and have allowed me to clean my furniture, cat trees, and blinds with much ease. The "arm" of the vacuum that detaches from the floor part of the vacuum is long enough to reach in higher corners. The arm can be removed and the attachments can be connected directly to the hose. This was wonderful for cleaning the cat trees and furniture. It took a little bit to figure out the best angle to set the vacuum, but once found it worked great! Overall, I would recommend this vacuum to anyone with pets. It is easy to maneuver, easy to change attachments, and great suction.

This is my dream machine
I had a expensive! Hoover that I inherited from my mother. It was heavy, bulky and took a degree in mechanics to change the accessories. I have had several back surgeries and after wrenching my shoulder in an attempt to vacuum,I immediately went to Amazon to find a new vacuum. I know the rule to never shop angry but I was frustrated. I have a longed hair cat and a cocker spaniel who has hair that detaches and finds every corner of the house in addition to a huge yard and a husband who has an obsession with his riding lawn mower. I put light weight and pet hair in the description and this Bissell popped up. The reviews were good and although a little pricey I thought I would go for it. I am so happy with this vacuum. It sucks up hair that I previously had to use a pet brush to un hook from my carpet, dried grass, and everything else in its path. It goes easily from carpet to rugs without lifting even though it is light weight enough not to worry about. The attachments are accessed by using the hose that is attached and easily detached with a flick. The pet hair attachment is especially amazing and it is so easy to use. I am not a big fan of bag less vacuums mostly because the hair gets caught up in the top of the container but this filter easily twists out so that the cylinder is completely open and can be cleaned out easily. I’m a big fan of the febreeze filter that freshens everything it comes in contact with. I waited a while to write my review so that the honeymoon phase is over and any little problems would show up but I am happy to report this baby is a keeper.

Impressive cleaning power!
One of my dogs is a heavy shedder so there’s always a lot of dog hair to deal will. I’ve been using a Bissell Pet Hair Pro vacuum for the last 5 years and decided to replace it with this Pet Hair Eraser vacuum hoping for more cleaning power. Upon receiving the new vacuum I vacuumed my living room rugs with my old vacuum then immediately re-vacuumed the same area with the new vacuum. I was expecting a small amount of additional hair/dirt to be picked up by the Pet Eraser but boy was I pleasantly surprised! You can see the dirt picked up by my old vacuum on the left and new vacuum on the right in the attached photo. This thing has significant suction power and combined with the much larger dirt canister it’s going to make vacuuming much more efficient for me. Only downside is it’s a heavier vacuum than my previous model so it does require more effort to push around. Not a huge deal as the cleaning power makes up for the slightly heavier weight. Highly recommend!

I'd buy it everytime!
I love this vacumn! It's my second one. As a house helper, my job often involves cleaning. This unit, works amazing on floors and carpets. It quickly transitions to crevice and dusting tools. The canister pops off and empties, quick and easily. I clean and sanatize it weekly, all the hoses and parts are easily removed and reattached. The beater bar, really is No Tangle. My only complaint, is I wish the cord was longer and didnt attach at the base.

HORRIBLE STATIC SHOCKS!
I have had previous Bissell models. My last one was cheap (close to $100) and the roller died/burned out before the year was up. Still, for the price I paid I didn't mind because when it worked, it worked like a hot damn! So I got this one quite happily to replace the dead one. When I started vacuuming, it seemed pretty great. Good suction, but a bit awkward to use the attachments (the hose is kind of weird the way it sits on the machine). Within a few minutes, anytime my leg, knee, hand or arm brushed up against any part of the vacuum, I received a pretty significant static shock. It only got worse with further use. So, I stopped and decided to empty out the canister and clean all of the parts and let it dry out, then try again. But, when I was emptying the dust canister, some fluff was stuck up around the top so I reached in to dislodge it (have had to do that before with other vacuums) and my finger got such a powerful static shock that it hurt after for ten minutes!!!! Once I cleaned everything, let it dry thoroughly, and tried again a couple of days later, it was no better. In fact, it accumulated static charge even faster. So, I returned it and got the Cleanview Pet Liftoff which I LOVE.
