So, having a bunch around makes sure that I will find one lying around somewhere.

Do you need this church key? Probably not. Most people open paint cans with a screwdriver. If you seriously drink beer, you don’t need an opener to remove caps (in fact, if you can’t open a beer bottle without an opener you shouldn’t be allowed to drink beer). However, church keys make opening paint cans so much easier. I never knew how much better they are until I actually used one. The major difference being that it doesn’t damage the paint cans as much so resealing the can actually works.
