AquaCycle Small Aquaponics Fish-less Cycling Kit

It comes with some seaweed stuff that they tell you to add contents of bag. It made my water so black I could not see anything in the aquarium. Then it says it will darken water, but will clear up in a week. Waited a week and the water never cleared up. So I drained water only to find that my plants looked like crap "I'm guessing that the light could not reach the bottom of the tank because the water was so black". My sand now has this brown stain look to it. I guess I'm going to completely clean aquarium and start all over again. What a waste of time and money.

I think it's a little overpriced. And the microlift nitrifying bacteria is expired. :( So literally I paid almost $30 for a bag of ammonia and a bag of seaweed extra (which as many suggested not to add because it will color the water and encourage algae growing), and a printed instruction (which can be a little useful if you know little about how to start a cycling process)... Not really worth it.
