Is this bag big enough to be used as a diaper bag?

Yes, I believe it would work as a functional diaper bag. The space available and design in my opinion would work well as a diaper bag. It has room for diapers in the large main compartment, (if you remove the built in firearm holster) and a baby bottle or two may fit in there as well. The side compartments would easily hold baby wipes and baby binkies/pacifiers. I believe that it would work well.

Would I be able to run a belt anywhere through this pack?

If your belt is about 1 inch.....it has an additional waist strap that you use to hook around your waist.....those hook extensions could hold a thin belt...I really enjoy mine...extremely well made

Is this bag big enough for an iPad?

yes ,it should be fine for 10.9 inch plus iPAD screen

"Main Compartment Measurement" With total width dimension of 9.8 less 3.8 for side pouches then the middle body is only 6" wide?

I just measured it. The main compartment is 6-7 inches across. I guess you get 9.8 if you pulled the sides. I bought this as a gift for a new shooter to take to the range with only 1 handgun. For that it will be perfect. If you have alot of gear, dont biy this. It is really small
