Conundrum Case Files: Murder Mystery Detective Game | Murder at The Festival | 1-4 Players

This was my first of these new Murder Mysteries. I picked this one because it didn't require the use of the internet for anything (other than emailing for a hint - and that was extremely fast and courteous). This was a very fun case to work my way through. I had to think about all the evidence presented and really put 2 and 2 together. I was a little unsure of my answer so I resorted to sending an email to the Christine. I got an reply back right away. The best customer service. I presented my case to see if I was on the right track as I didn't want to open the solutions envelope. I was just a little unsure of myself on my first case. Well, silly me, I was right on with only a minor miss. I was amazed. I now have two other of owner's cases. The Pastor's Wife and I'm really looking forward to The Gift. Those two have are more puzzle oriented than this case which is more evidence based. I like the variety and the thought that went into making a great mystery. I did this solo over a couple of days (to ponder on it). Thanks so very much for the fun. And the thrill of a successful solution.

My family spent the afternoon yesterday solving this mystery for Mother's Day. I love that it was created by a mom, and totally appreciate her story. We had so much fun! It was the perfect amount of challenge, and super engaging for all of us (husband, 10 year old daughter, 12 year old son, and me). We all had a great time reading the interviews (playing the characters as we read), and putting the pieces together (which we laid out all over the floor). My son figured out how to decode all of the letters but wasn't particularly interested in doing the work to decode them, so the rest of us did that. We all were able to solve it together, each offering insights. It was a great success -especially for my family who has a hard time agreeing on anything!

I purchased this for my family of 4. I seen the series episode version and wasn't crazy about how many you had to buy to find the killer. I wanted something affordable that my family could sit down and do together, but also solve it. I came across this one. I'm so happy I purchased this one. My family loved it! We all sat down and worked together to solve the murder. It was such fun family time. It took us about 2 hours. It was me, my hubby, my 16 year old, and my 9 year old. My 9 year old was able to participate and handled it all very well. There was tiny mention of the word sex, but it wasn't pertinent to anything really and can be changed to "we hung out" rather than the other. Will definitely be purchasing another. They are a little expensive for one time use. I wish they had a package deal. However, I did manage leave mine in brand new condition so we can sell it and recoup some of our money which makes this way more affordable!

I LOVE Mystery Box games! As a long-time mystery fan, it is fun to become the detective! This was better than I expected, as it is home made, but the story was interesting and challenging enough to keep me engaged. The pictures of suspects "fit" their personalities, but I wish they were more realistic (look computer-generated). The puzzles were good; the only issue I saw was that they all related to one person and I never really figured out why they had been hidden. Overall, fun way to spend an afternoon!

We were looking for something more challenging. My husband and I did this with my 2 college graduate kids. This was solved in under 2 hours. Probably much better for younger families.

I just finished solving the case, and I really enjoyed working on it. It was fun, and I enjoyed the puzzles. Now I have a better understanding how to solve three new puzzles. I'm looking forward to the next one. Trust me!! Buy this case you will enjoy it too!

I purchased this mystery for my wife and I to do for our Anniversary. We had a great time doing it as we both are big fans of mysteries. What I liked best about this was how authentic it felt, felt as if we received a case file from the actual authorities with all the notes/testimony. What I disliked about it was perhaps the lack of direction provided. My wife and I both took on different material in order for us to get thru it faster but perhaps providing the players 'helpful hints' or direction of what order to review the information in would provide more structure. Looking forward to doing another one of these soon and definitely would recommend to anyone.

Ordered for something to do as a family to pass the time during the quarantine. So much fun and everyone played a part in solving the mystery. It got everyone off their phones, using their brains and just plain having fun. Before reading the solution we got in touch with Conundrum Case Files on FB to find out if we were right and they responded immediately. This was an added bonus since we didn't want to ruin the surprise if we were wrong. Just placed an order for a new case file and very much looking forward to solving it. Can't wait to solve a new mystery.
