First of all, the packaging is awesome. This box arrived…and it was perfect…not a scratch not a ding.The jewelry box is extremely well made, and finished flawlessly.The lock works easily, and closes the lid tightly, but you should know the lock only secures the hinged top and not the drawers.I bought this as a wedding present for my wife and I think she’ll love it.Everything about this box is high quality, tight, smooth, and really beautiful. The walnut is well finished.I think any woman that has jewelry she wants to secure and keep in one spot will enjoy this. The proportions are very generous, and the construction is solid and heavy. It’s a big jewelry box which is what I wanted…If you think you should buy it, you’re right…it’s beautiful and I think well worth the price.

At the time of purchase, Amazon also had the best deal available for this item, which made it a great value overall.The chest itself is beautiful and well made.
