Teami Chai Black Tea Bags - 20 Count - with Cardamom, Ginger, and Cinnamon - Great for Lattes and Smoothies

I've had chai tea made by my mother-in-law (she's from India) and it is very good. It's very hard to try and recreate it when I'm not sure how much of the spices to use, or where to get some of the spices. The Teami Chai comes very close to my mother-in-law's chai tea. I love the fragrance of the tea while it's steeping, and the taste is delicious. I will be ordering again, most likely sign up for Teami's recurring delivery plan. Thanks Teami!!

I'm a big fan of Teami Blend teas so when i saw they had Chai blend I though I would give it a try!! I have never tasted Chai so I wasn't sure what to expect or if I would like it... I'm so glad I gave it a tried because its delish plus Teami never disappoints!!

This chai tea by Teami is quite unique for a premium tea: large pieces of whole spices can be found in each tea bag, which I would not expect from bagged tea. While you don't get many tea bags with this packet, you definitely get premium quality from the tea. The black tea leaves themselves are well-formed and aromatic. There are many whole spices in each tea bag including star anise, cardamom pods, cinnamon pieces, etc. When brewed, my tea tasted strongly of star anise, which was spicy and pleasant. The black tea itself has a rather mild flavor, but it stands up to the spices well enough that the balance is flavorful. These tea bags might be worth a try if you want a high-quality chai tea that gives you the looseleaf experience with the convenience of tea bags.

A very good tea, high quality tea. Bags have a good amount of visually discernable ingredients. For these types of teas, I really prefer loose leaf so that I can more easily alter the quantity of tea I'm making, but that's not what you're buying here. I added some milk to my tea, and it was wonderful. To my taste, this chai strongly features the cardamom with the other spices more in the background. All that said, the value proposition at its current price (well over $1/bag) is not there is my opinion. It doesn't stand out that much from other more reasonably priced options.

Amazing tea. It became our favorite chai. Unfortunately amazon sells it for triple the price we pay in Alabama...
