Keep Creating: 365 Days of Drawing Prompts Sketchbook

I bought this for myself and my adult daughter. We both love it and are having lots of fun. Very funny and creative prompts that I would not have thought of on my own. Love it. Paper seems good I erase a lot and it has held up. I have used pencil and colored pencil. I would not use marker or gel pens and they may bleed through and ruin the next page. I do wish these drawing prompt books would leave the back of each page blank but I am loving it. I am including drawings of my family members in the ideas for the prompts so this makes it even more fun and funny and will be a great keepsake for them one day I think. Anyone with an imagination and who loves to be creative can spend hours with this book. Good for all ages.

I am absolutely loving this book! I made a commitment at the start of the new year to work on my creative side again. I bought a few drawing books to work on technique, and this book of prompts to work on imagination and putting those techniques to the test. Some prompts are funny or weird, and some are more serious and realistic. I love the variety and testing myself with all of the different ideas! I am excited to turn the page each day and see what the prompt is. I highly recommend. From what I’ve seen so far, it is absolutely appropriate for all ages and skill levels.

My 11 year old is so happy with this book. She loves the prompts, they're silly and very creative.

Great size, decent paper. I was looking more for an adult version, like "close up of a shoe" or " a piece of jewelry" or even "a menacing plant". These are more like gerbil in tutu,frog playing flute, a funny ghost. This is an excellent book, just not what I am looking for

I really enjoy this book! I love to draw, but I have a lot of trouble coming up with ideas. I've google "drawing Challenges" but over time, they are just the same prompt, but in different locations on a list. What I really like about this book is that it isn't just an object ex, "fruit", "tree", etc. . It's a bit more creative ex: "Blind giraffe," Witch and her pet newt", etc. It makes me think out side of the box more.

My advice? Scan the book in, and print the pages out individually. The paper will be the exact same quality. The double sided nature of the paper is also hard to draw on in places. If you’re buying this for a child, it’s probably fine, but anyone trying to take their art seriously will quickly get frustrated with the quality of the paper. The book will also likely fall apart due to the glue. It would have been 1000 times better if the publisher opted for spiral-bound pages. The positives: The prompts are fun, and there are a lot of them. The spacing on the pages does leave pretty good room for your art. Summary: If I were to purchase this again, it would be because a 10-year-old told me they wanted to start getting more serious about drawing. It’s a decent starting point, but not much else.

I love the prompts. They've really gotten me drawing again. I got colored pencils to do detail on some I really enjoyed. I think some of it they just want you to doodle but I feel like you get what you put in! I tend to overwork my drawings and do a bit of realism but that's how I like it. You can put as much or as little in to it as you want! The paper is a little thin but if it can stand up to my constant erasing it is good for drawing and doodling and maybe some soft color pencils! These prompts really gave me thinking and grinning. Oh and there's a Facebook group you can share to! The community is really nice

Love all the crazy prompts just wish the paper was higher quality not really good drawing paper pens easily bleed through and I apply a ton of pressure when I draw for darks to lights so the paper is pretty delicate

Ich habe mir das Buch schon vor einiger Zeit gekauft - für mich illusorisch, es in einem Jahr fertig zu bearbeiten, aber ca. 80 Begriffe habe ich schon geschafft! Das Buch ist doppelseitig bedruckt, also leere Seiten mit je einem Begriff auf englich, den man malen oder zeichnen soll. Eigentlich direkt ins Buch, aber das Papier ist maximal für Bleistift geeignet. Also nichts für Marker oder Filzstifte, die drücken sofort durch. Selbst gute Bunstifte sahen darauf irgendwie schmierig aus und viel layern kann man nicht. Daher einen Punkt abgezogen. Aber - jetzt kommen die Pluspunkte: 1. Ich nutze es jedes Mal, wenn ich eine Malblockade habe und nicht weiß, was ich zeichnen/malen soll. Dann blättere ich durch die Prompts, bis mir bei einem sofort eine Idee kommt. Und zack, ist die Malblockade wieder weg. 2. Ich zeichne mit allen Medien auf allen Formaten und Papieren "außerhalb" des Buchs und klebe dann ein Foto davon zu dem jeweiligen Prompt. Somit umgehe ich die schlechte Papierqualität und kann alle Malmedien nutzen wie ich will. Ist so auch abwechslungsreicher. 3. Durch das Buch, dessen Malprompts zugegebenermaßen manchmal speziell sind (wer würde schon sagen "Heute male ich mal ein Nashorn im Bikini"), malt bzw. zeichnet man Dinge, auf die man selbst nie gekommen wäre. Ich habe z.B. auch einen vergammelten Apfel gezeichnet. Das übt ungemein und bringt Abwechslung. Es sind aber auch "normale" Begriffe enthalten, z.B. "Sonnenaufgang" oder "Seestern". Also alles in allem sehr viel Spaß beim Malen. Auch mein Sohn hat das Buch für sich entdeckt. Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir.

This was a lovely gift from my sweet mother-in-law for Christmas. I wanted to start drawing more and this prompt book is great to get motivated. It allows any level artist to work on their techniques and develop their creativity all the while having fun and relaxing. I’m truly enjoying the challenges and the hours of fun so far. I truly recommend this sketchbook to all artists out there. A little note: the Facebook page that is mentioned on the first page of the book where artists can share their work is sadly no longer available.

I need to give it a chance.
