TOMLYN Laxatone Maple-Flavored Hairball Remedy Gel for Cats and Kittens, 4.25oz

My Persian cat, Miss Money Penny, has had hairball issues that resulted in her coughing, gagging and not eating her food. She was also having a hard time pooping. I tried Tomlin Laxatone Maple-Flavoured Hairball Gel several years ago and I have been giving it to her every other day ever since. A big plus is that she loves it! I just say, “Maple syrup time “! She comes running! She gets hairballs easily, but since she’s been on this particular regimen, the hairballs come up quickly and easily. She is 10 years young and she no longer coughs or gags and she is going to the bathroom normally. We can’t be without it!

Vet recommended this for our Flemish giant rabbit who had stomach bloat which may/may not have been caused by hair not being passed. We started giving her this stuff, which she went crazy for, and it made a substantial difference in her bloat plus bowel movements. Works very well!

The cat likes the flavor, let's see if it does the job. The product is a bit messy as it does not stop oozing out of the packaging. I'm not sure how this could be remedied.

My cat used to cough up hairballs on a daily basis, leaving little messes all over the house. My daughter recommended this product to me, so I decided that I might as well give it a try. I specifically got this brand, because another reviewer said it was the best. I bought the original/regular, which is malt flavored. I know that sounds a little weird, but my cat has no problem eating it. I put about half of a teaspoon on his food every night. As long as he gets it on a daily basis, he is fine with little to no coughing and puking. Recently, I ran out of the first tube and we had to wait for the new tube to arrive. That was when I realized what a huge difference it had made. In just a couple of days, my cat went right back to coughing and leaving messes everywhere. As soon as he started on it again, he was completely better after the second dose. I don't know what I will do if they ever stop making this product. My only criticism is that there is an inner seal that is very difficult to remove. I guess it needs to be there, but I do wish the manufacturer could come up with something easier to open.
