Best boot I’ve ever had!
Shoes and boots ALWAYS make my feet hurt. It never matters how broken in they are, they always hurt my feet really bad. In addition to never being able to wear anything but sneakers without hurting my feet, my feet are extremely wide. I recently got a job as an EMT and we work 12 hour days. I ordered men’s because they tend to be wider than women’s. They actually fit my wide foot which I’ve never found a shoe that truly fits the width of my foot. usually I end up wearing out the side of it with my foot and it juts out on the side from the rest of the shoe. These boots were a touch big on me (which I anticipated because I didn’t want something too small I would rather have it a little big ) when I first tried them on. I knew if I went to half size smaller they would be too small. My foot was kind of in between sizes. The first day I wore them I got a really bad blister on the back of my foot because they were a touch too big. I bought some heavy duty thick socks, and that did the trick. I also have a very high arch, and they give me plenty support. Not only are these boots super comfortable but they do not hurt my feet at all even after 12 hours. I have never, ever found any footwear other than a sneaker that didn’t hurt my feet so bad I would hobble. They are made really well and I like the fact that I can get them laced up just right for fit and then there’s a zipper on the side to put take them on and off. I didn’t write this review right away because I wanted to make sure that they really didn’t hurt my feet. Normally I would’ve been hobbling after one 12 hour shift. I’ve been wearing them for about four weeks now and I have no issues at all. I will never buy another boot in my life. I’m shocked that I found a boot that doesn’t hurt my feet at all. I’m 50 and that’s never happened in my life. I always had to grin and bear it. I highly, highly recommend these boots if you want something comfortable and sturdy. I’m Impressed beyond imagination. I can’t say enough good things about them. I don’t write a lot of reviews. I only do if something is really really good or really really bad. If you’re on the fence about what boots to buy, buy these. They’re a little pricey, but worth every penny.

Amazing boot! Better than anything on the market! Trust 16 hours shift reviews!
One of the best boots on the market. It does not disappoint. If your looking for a boot that gives you an all day comfortable feel, this is it. The build quality is extremely soft and comfortable. The leather is quick to clean and re-polish. For 16 hour shifts of not stop movement, your back and legs will thank you. Other products out there are great like under-armor, but they don’t last like these. I would tell you a yearly replacement is normal on a really good boot. After a while the foam on any boot wears out and begins to give fatigue. These last a lot longer then most good brands out there. Super light, super comfortable, good breathability, plus like walking on a cloud. Great for sprinting and running if needed, good for standing prolonged amount of time. For the price its a bit expensive but the product is really worth the price. Don’t settle for other high end products that sell you a brand. Look for quality made, durable, well made products. The under-armors need to be replace every 6 months with the use I give my boots. Durability/value/product quality!

Super Lightweight. Extreme Comfort. Well worth the price!!!
I'm a Police Officer (Patrol) and am on my feet 8-10 hours a day. Prior to this job, I spent 10 years in the Army and have worn virtually every boot made. The Tactical Research Maxx8 is by far the most comfortable, best-fitting boot I have ever worn. Break-in period was short, about 5 days. This Boot seemed to fit loose at first, which worried me, however as the Boot wore in, it conformed to my foot and I progressively cinched the laces tighter and now it fits like a glove. There is a seam inside the heel of the boot that traverses across the Achilles Tendon which rubbed and was somewhat bothersome for a day or two, but it smoothed out as I continued to wear them. As I stated, they fit like a glove. The cusioned sole absorbs an unbelievable amount of shock and its incredibly light weight makes me feel like I'm walking on a cloud. The boot is still sturdy enough to where it provides ample support for my arches and ankles. Even after wearing these Boots for 3 weeks, I notice everyday, the strain and pressure they have relieved from my back, hips, and knees. I have found these Boots to be true-to-size... I wear a 10.5 Regular Width (US Men's) in both Bates and Thorogood boots and ordered the same size in the Tactical Research Maxx8. I have suffered from lower back pain for years, have a medium-high arch and my feet are such that they tend to swim in a Wide Boot, but fall over the edges of the sole of a regular width boot. Not so with these... It is like they were make just for me.

Fits larger than size
To start off with, these boots are not water proof. If you get any water on the tongue area it goes straight through. That aside the break in period has been difficult. These boots bite the back of my Achilles tendon. I doubled up on socks and even use band aid tape. They still bite. They are also probably half a size larger than they are sized for. All of that aside. These boots are excellent over all. While the run from initial break in hurts the actual foot support is incredible. I work corrections. I am on my feet for 12 hours at minimum. I wore these for the first 2 days and my feet did not hurt at all. Usually when I get home my feet are in agony. But I noticed a drastic difference with these. The side zipper is your standard boot zip. It is sturdy and appropriate for the boot. I don't see it breaking with regular use. I've tried 5.11, Reebok, Nike, under armour. I'd say these are comparable to 5.11 but more durable. As many of us have noticed, 5.11 has declined in quality. Boots that used to last a whole year are now falling apart after just 3 months. These answer that. I'd give these 5 stars but I'm being honest. The break in hurts. But they are worth it.

Most Comfortable Boot Ever
During my 25 year law enforcement career I had many pairs of these boots. They are the most comfortable boot in the world IMO. They feel like HOKA sneakers on my feet. Soft and cushioned. Saved my feet during hours and hours of traffic direction and foot patrol. I’ll never buy any other pair of tactical boots.

Not for prison work
Less than a month of wearing these on the job as a corrections officer, and these are being donated to salvation army. Peeling finish, and just not comfortable for 12 hour shifts. Very disappointed. Look nice, easy to get on, but they're already falling apart and just not good for long shifts on concrete.

Good boots, not good for a lot of walking
They're comfortable to walk in and the zipper makes them convenient to put on and take off, but the durability for the price is a little lacking. When I got them I would be walking around 10 miles a day for work and it only took a few weeks for the material at my heel to start falling apart, causing a little discomfort from the pieces digging into my foot. They do look pretty sharp however and now that I don't walk so much for work they do the job nicely.

Great quality and comfort!
I wear these for work 40+ hours a week and they have held up great for 15 straight months now. The side zippers still work great, they are holding together well and these boots are insanely comfortable and easy to wear. I have plantar fasciitis and heel spurs in my left foot and had constant pain for years. I have purchased so many different boots to wear from $100-$200 Wolverine, Carhartt, Carolina, Ariat to $400 Tony Lama’s and these Belleville Tactical Boots are by far the best. I am on concrete and up and down ladders all day at work and these have not only held up to the abuse, they are super comfortable and have helped reduce my foot pain exponentially! I haven’t even worn these out yet and I’m thinking about ordering another pair before they get discontinued or something (that would be an absolute shame because these boots are perfect, there’s literally nothing I would change!). The way they’ve helped relieve my foot pain has literally changed my quality of life! Oh yeah, one last thing to add is that the slip resistance is wonderful as well. In addition to being on hard floors and ladders all day, I’m also on very slick surfaces that are usually covered in oil.
