How to Draw Nearly Everything (Dover Art Instruction)

A good Xmas gift

Not quite what I was looking for, but not bad. It is essentially a high school or college (beginning) art course. Lots of good explanations and diagrams. Only covers realistic drawing (real life? Realism? I'm not sure what it's called...)

Seems like it contains good instruction. But, be aware there is a section of nude drawings.

It was a gift and wel liked.

It's a great way to learn how to draw.

I like drawing from my childhood but had no chance to learn. Now I'v got retired.I have enough time but a book like this.I got it!

Es un pelín diferente a lo que esperaba, pero no está tan mal tampoco. Tal vez me hubiera gustado que fuese más detallado con ciertas cosas, pero en general es un buen libro para alguien nuevo que está aprendiendo porque no te satura con muros de texto. Recomiendo complementarlo con algún libro más complejo cuando se tenga todo aprendido de éste porque tal vez es DEMASIADO básico. Sí, está muy bien que no se ande por las ramas y de explicaciones sencillas pero ese es también un gran punto en contra.No me gustó tampoco el trato que le dio Amazon al libro, porque me llegó dañado por las esquinas y algo doblado.

I was never given training in art, so I expected really basic book to show beginners how to start exploring drawing.

This book will take some time to work through. Excellent info and examples
