WaterWarden Inground Pool Solid Safety Cover: A Cost-Effective and Durable Option
Fall 2024: We recently upgraded our pool safety cover from a mesh cover to the WaterWarden Inground Pool Solid Safety Cover with drain. The mesh cover, while more expensive, served us well for over 25 years in Iowa's harsh winters. Despite being significantly less costly, the WaterWarden cover seems promising, and we're hopeful it will provide similar longevity.DIY Installation: While the installation wasn't a walk in the park, it was definitely doable for anyone with basic DIY skills and the right tools. The instructions were clear and concise, and we found helpful videos online that guided us through the process. Pro tip: Take your time with measurements. Accurate measurements saved us time and effort, especially when it came to drilling the anchor holes.Compatibility with Old Anchors: It's worth noting that the anchor holes from our previous cover didn't line up with the straps for this cover. While some reviewers have reported success with using their old anchor holes, we found it necessary to drill new ones.Initial Impressions: Although it's still early days, we're pleased with the quality and functionality of the WaterWarden cover. It seems sturdy and provides excellent protection for our pool. We'll continue to monitor its performance over time and update this review accordingly.Overall, the WaterWarden Inground Pool Solid Safety Cover is a great value for the price. Its durability and ease of installation make it a worthwhile investment for pool owners seeking a reliable and affordable safety cover solution.Spring 2025 Update: The cover performed well over the first winter. Since it was heavier than our previous mesh cover it seemed to let less debris into the pool when winds were strong. I think our strategy of not over tightening the straps so that the springs would not bend so much with the weight of snow was a good one as all springs still look good. We found no damage to the cover and it looks about as good as it did when we put it on in the fall. We are hopeful that it will last for many years.

Durable, long lasting, easy to install
Best purchase we’ve made in regards to safety! We have had this pool cover for 6 years and it is still holding up just like the first day we got it.It is so strong and durable! The material is thick and has withstood our dogs running across it when they get the zoomies, my husband walks across it each year to test it to make sure our kids, pets and neighbors are safe, and we it has held up in storage well during the summer months. The size was perfect for our pool and was fairly easy to install and drill the holes around the pool. Considering how long we have had it, I’d definitely say it is well worth the money!

Great Affordable Pool Cover
The media could not be loaded. Great cover at very affordable price. I did the i stall myself and it only to me a half of the day, because my drill kept getting hot. I could have completed this in 2-3 hours easily with a real hammer drill. As for the strength and quality of this cover, this is my first year with this cover but it has definitely held up and the springs are holding up as well. To give you an idea if it will stand up to a pet or a person falling on it, my son thought it would be a good idea to run across the pool. We did this last year when I closed the pool but I didn't catch it on camera, so he wanted to do it again a few days ago. He weighs about 150 pounds soak and wet, but the pool cover responded like a waterbed. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!

Great durable cover
I finally broke down and spent the extra money for this cover and it's great. I have 8 grand kids and wanted to make the pool safe as possible and this cover does the job. after install I actually had my 13 yr. old grand son walk on it and no way possible can even an adult fall threw this thing if installed correctly. it comes with everything needed for install other than the power tools needed to drill holes and a hammer to set the anchors..

The Wrong Cover for a snowy winter environment.
This cover looked nice but my pool maintenance company warned me that it was "garbage." It didn't make it through the winter. Half of the springs broke and the whole cover stretched and sagged. My pool needed extensive draining before opening this year. Expensive lesson learned. If you live in a cold or snowy climate, you might want to avoid this cover.Issues included: Leakage, Stretching, Springs breaking.

So far so good! Comparable quality to other covers that cost more than twice as much.
While I've only had the cover installed a few weeks now, I can speak to the overall quality of the cover which I am impressed with. I previously had a Loop-loc cover that cost over $2k. This cover feels just as durable. Time will tell if it truly is as durable as it appears to be. Blue cover is nice, not overly bright blue to be an eye sore. Definitely appears to be a no-brainer based on initial impression. We'll see in a few years how it holds up, but if you're in the market for a rectangular mesh cover I would definitely recommend.

Great cover
I have oval pool and customer cover costs 4 times this one. Is same quality and it’s easy to drill the holes to attach. Get a drill and bits at harbor freight for cheap. Kept pool crystal clean over the winter. Looking forward to next season as was easy to install and remove. Just don’t tighten it too much. I made that mistake and snow weight broke half the springs. Leave some flex so it can go down to ice level if it needs to. Oh and I fell in and it held my weight and I rolled across and got wet but I didn’t go through so is good for safety if that’s the purpose.
