I love this builder gel. I do my own nails and it’s the only one I use. I re-ordered it multiple times now. It’s the perfect nude shade for French nails or just a soft milky-white look. My nails have never broken while using it, it also lasts perfectly until my next refill. I’ve never had any issues with lifting or nails falling off. It’s also really easy to work with although like with any gel application a bit of skill is required.

I don't like the shape of my nails - they curve over - so I purchased this builder gel to flatten them out. The photos I've attached aren't the best, but in the first photo you can see how my nail shapes down, and the second where it's flatter. Depending on what you want to use the builder gel for it can be easy to use or more difficult, I'm no professional so it takes me a while to do them, the gel is quite thick but easy to move around your nail, I read somewhere that it helps to cure the nail straight away for 10 seconds to hold the shape - otherwise it does tend to roll back over the nail (creating a slight bulge in the centre of the nail). Once I've done all my nails I wipe them with nail prep and file them smooth - as I'm still getting used to manoeuvring the gel sometimes it's a bit too thick or bumpy so filing helps to smooth it out. Then it's ready for the colour. The gel unfortunately does get a layer of skin across the top when not used (or it could be when it gets cold I'm not sure) so it is hard to use at that point, I don't know whether I'm suppose to heat it up before using it or not. I'd also say it burns slightly under the lamp, the more you use the more it burns, if a thin layer is applied you can't feel anything, but where I use a lot - if my nails are longer and I need more to build on the ends that are curved down it burns for a few seconds. I do like this product for giving me the shape I want on my nails, I would recommend, I'd just say it takes practice using it, and time.

I liked this builder gel and bought it thinking it was hema free due to Amazon search. It is not. Do not buy if you are allergic. It’s such a shame because it was easy to work with and seems good quality. Until I started to itch.

Fantastic results. I’m only a newbie and that was my first attempt to put a gel build up. It’s far away from perfect but product itself is GREAT. Easy to use, beautiful colour, easy to shape. Fully recommend!

I recently tried this Bluesky builder gel and here’s my honest opinion: What I loved: - The builder gel has a great consistency and build. It is not too thick and not too thin which makes it the ideal gel for overlay and nail extensions. - Easy to shape and finish. The gel is very easy to file , buff and it also shapes very well. - This builder gel is effective for long use. I have had several clients come back with 4 weeks without chipping or lifting. Overall very happy with the product

I fell for the clever use of language in the Amazon description. It cleverly implies that you are buying all the bits that you need to build your own nail extensions. It even offers you a choice of coloured nail extensions, and it gives you a video demonstrating how to use all the bits and pieces, excluding the UV light. BEWARE! You are only buying a pot of gel which without all the other bits and pieces, is useless. This would make an excellent question about use of language in a GCSE use of English examination. In my day we had 'O' levels which warned against falling for 'implication' in advert description so I should have known better. So hats off to the ad person who pulled this fast one. Unfortunately, apart from making this sale, you have only succeeded in putting me off using Amazon for future purchases, but I'd bet you dont give a monkeys and will probably never read this. I use this for extensions and it cures super hard! It’s also good to strengthen natural nails

no matter how tight you secure the lid it leaks out and over everything over time
