My mom has musical ear syndrome - i wonder if this would help her?

Is the sound created by rotation or radiation?

In reference to sound, “radiation” refers to how the sound spreads (if your TV did not radiate sound, you would not be able to hear it), not how the sound is created.

Does the train sound just do the track noise, or is there a whistle as well.

No whistle just the track sound. Love ours! They’re a few other sounds better than the train tracks. Great item.
