This camera seems to be an unbranded non WiFi SJ4000After using it for a few days is does I am happy to report it does indeed seem to be a legit SJ4000. It features the Novatek NT96650 processor and the Aptina AR0330 CMOS sensor. It is important to make sure that these really are the parts being used because some cameras that look like SJ4000s use lower end processors and shoot horrible looking video. The camera records in 1080P at 30FPS and saves in .mov format. This is important because if you end up with one that shoots in .avi format it is a lower end clone version.SJ4000s have a max bit-rate of 15Mbs and that is about as high as I have seen a NT96650 go up to in terms of bit rate. The one I am looking at is set at about 12MB because it has an older firmware version. (Firmware installed is 2014.09.02V01) It lists a Diagonal Viewing Angle of 180 degrees although most people tend to over state this number slightly. The camera uses a Micro B plug to charge. It also comes with a lot of different mounting choices. It takes a Micro SD card up to 32GB. It should be able to take a 64GB card if formatted to FAT32 in a PC first. The SJ4000 in general has a few issues that have been pointed out on DashCamTalk. The unit I received seems to be doing okay for now. I'll try to keep an eye out for these though just in case.A newer firmware can be downloaded from here the SJCamHD websiteThis firmware adds a lot of new settings and bumps the bit-rate up to about 15MB. It also adds a few different choices for FOV size. However the down button works as the okay button, and the okay button does not work at all after I updated. So I can zoom in, but not zoom out, and I have to reboot the camera to get it fixed. Hopefully this will be corrected soon.Other then that I am happy with it I recommend anyone who drives a car or rides a bike. A DashCam is a mustI have received this camera in an exchange for an honest review. I believe a good DashCam is a very important thing to have, and if I find one that does not cut it you will hear about it for sure.
