Amazing sketchbook, easy to carry around, nice paper grain!! Amazing for a low price.

This is only good for a young beginner artist. The paper is excellent for those who just like to practice drawing. Not for more advanced artists I will say that

I always like to have a sketch pad to doodle in around. These are my favorite as my ink doesn't bleed through and they are tough enough to throw in my backpack and take with me anywhere! And the price and size are perfect!

I love these sketchbooks because of the ability to draw your own over on them. I think being able to customize your sketchbook is so meaningful! I did however receive a book with a slight defect. Mine had a cut in a couple of the pages but I didn't find it too detrimental so I opted to just keep it. The paper thickness is medium-light. You can use ink and markers on it but you might suffer from some of it bleeding through. But I solve that by keeping a small piece of cardstock in my sketchbook to protect the other pages whenever I use heavy inks. Overall would definitely buy again.

My absolute favorite pick for my everyday journal. I've reordered these over and over because they are simply perfect! The weight and feel of the paper, no lines, and lovely blue cover color, it is perfect!!

I love that you can make your own cover as I have several, now I can tell them apart. Same great sketchbook.

nice to use

I love the Strathmore Vision product line, especially their mixed media notebooks. They hold up well and the spiral is sturdy. No pages flying out or spirals warping by the end of it. I'm knocking two stars because the paper feels thinner than normal? Even though its the same weight as other sketchbook paper. I felt some of my other sketchbooks of same paper weight in comparison and this one felt notably thinner. It would be hard to draw on both sides of the paper, if you are planning that. Nonetheless, the quality of the paper is good and clean and erases nicely. I'll fill this one up but probably look for a different sketchbook brand for this paper weight next time. Love the size, and the blue page at the front (that I never draw on, but it's more nice sturdy reinforcement).

This is my main sketchbook to just take a pen and get ideas out into. Since the paper's pretty thin, it doesn't prevent markers and inks etc bleeding through but, for me, the fact that it's all a bit messy makes me way less hesitant to work and practice in it. Very durable sketchbook (I did lace a ribbon through the spiral though, as I've a knack for ruining those.) It fits perfectly in all of my bags, enough space each page to work with, but not so much you feel like you'll never fill it. The paper isn't bright white, it's a little bit warm-toned which is really nice. Good lot of pages as well so, if you're like me, it'll take you a looooong time to fill. Nice sturdy back, so you can just work with it on your knee when you're out and about. Overall, perfect for your messy studies and sketches! Paper still holds with light ink/watercolour (just crinkles). Couldn't recommend more if you feel like you just don't sketch enough!
