Model 3 Glass Roof Sunshade Sunroof Sunshade Compatible for Tesla Model 3 (one Piece for Top Roof)

I live in Arizona, so I got this screen as a preventative measure for those 110 degree days. I was going to buy the sun screen from the Tesla store, but it seems to always be out of stock, so I bought this one as it is less expensive and had good reviews. I test installed it and it fits very, very well. The little clips used for installation are easy to use and everything just kind of pops into place. I haven't used the screen for realzies yet, and it is just sitting in its pouch (yes, it ships with a pouch, so that's nice) in my frunk.

This should absolutely be standard on model 3. I live in Phoenix. “Oh don’t worry the roof is tinted.” This is true, but the Phoenix sun is stronger. Online this was a cheaper alternative to the Tesla product. This product is EXCELLENT. Fits nearly perfectly (small 0.25” area it seems to not want to cover, but I forgot about this because you have to crane your neck to see it anyway and it doesn’t let any light it). Would buy again in a flash. I wish they sold a complete black out version as that might be useful. This product made my August driving at noon easily manageable.

After 1 summer, one of the sides bent and can't be bent back. So it is essentially useless now

For those that think that it does nothing - if the car has been sitting for a while, it will get very hot in the car. Especially if you have the default (for me) black color. Before: If I had sat in the car, after the AC had been running for a while. I was cool, but my head was still warm. After: That does not happen. I would have got the extra one for the back, except that one was out of stock at the time. I was concerned than both would be gone forever, so I bought the front one.

Update: Good customer service, you can buy without worries. They are there to help. Original: Well i bought this because of all good reviews. However, the one i received is not fitting perfectly. I don't know if it's a defective one or what... Three sides are tightly fit but one side is loose and has a gap. Not worth 45 dollars.

I personally does not like the glass roof of Teslas. Living in southern California, the car is heated by the sun almost year round. At direct sunlight, the roof is burning hot to the touch. With this shade, the heat radiation is reduced, maybe by 1/3 to 1/2, but the heat is not blocked. I can not understand why is no one making a reflective sun blocker which will be easy to make and much more effective at blocking the sun.

Made absolutely no difference. Did not filter the sunlight or lower the temperature in the car at all. Literally no difference with it installed versus not installed. Sunlight shines right through it.
