Review: Do NOT buy for Asus K501UW! - While the title and description claim it fits an Asus K501UW, it does not. The wires are too long to comfortably fit where the battery plugs into the motherboard, and the side with the black wires doesn't sit flush to the battery port and thus causes the battery to pop off and disconnect. Plus, it's really difficult to see whether or not the connections are flat and flush when the original OEM battery has a white connector and this one is black. I let charge for a full 12 hours and had nothing but problems with the battery upon install, with my Asus K501UW rejecting the battery as non-existent and refusing to give a percentage readout. Eventually, after going through all the software tricks I could (including completely updating the BIOS and the battery drivers), the replacement battery stopped working completely and the laptop would power off the second I disconnected the AC charger. There was nothing wrong with my original battery, it was just old and starting to fail as it would die quickly when not plugged in - and I ended up having to take this replacement back out and put the original battery back in! A waste of time and money.

This battery is awesome. It was a perfect fit and is giving me approx 10 hours of charge time. Its like it was when the computer was new. Do NOT buy for Asus K501UW!
While the title and description claim it fits an Asus K501UW, it does not. Good Replacement at a Reasonable Price
The first battery I was provided failed within two days. But the replacement is working as expected. The plug to connect the battery to the motherboard is slightly thicker than the original. It cannot be locked in place on my ASUS laptop.

Wires are too long. I never should have bought this and I doesnt fit into my computer as well as it should. Never should have bought this and my return date just ran out so I'm out 50 dollars lol.

Wires too long for Asus K501UX
Like others have said, wires are too long. Not sure how much pressure I want to put on them trying to get the battery in—seems risky for fire.
