POP goes the Z-1000!
Excellent deal on bat with LOADS of pop! Make sure it's legal in your kids league before purchase. My kid plays Babe Ruth League, so this bat is legal there. That said, I was originally kinda peeved because I thought the bat only came in 31in/19oz. I bought one anyway even though it's one size too big for my 10 year old. I figured I'd put it up on the shelf for about a year or so until he grows into it. But then found out that every once in a while they post a 30"/18oz! What the heck!? I would have bought the 30"/18oz had I known it was available! Anyhoots, now I have both; one 30" and one 31". We're golden on bats for the next two years for sure! And all for $35 per bat!!! These things have just as much pop (if not more) than the Easton Mako's and D'Mirini's of the world. Trust me, there's people on my son's team with those bats, and this one trumps them both. Just make sure you properly break it in before use, whether that be with a ball mallet or a roller. Someone in my area has a roller and breaks bats in for $25 a pop. Great bat. Buy it. Now. :)

Excellent Bat (if your league allows it)
This is an incredible bat for our son who is on a U10 league. Their coach recommended a -12 bat which allows the kids to swing faster since the bat is lighter. However, the lower cost bats typically have a shorter barrel. Since this is a high-end composite bat, the barrel is longer thereby giving the player a larger "sweet spot" to hit the ball. The Louisville Slugger website has a statement about determination of which bats are legal in which leagues ([...]). Since this bat is no longer approved for Little League, a small black rectangle has been stamped over the approval. It is not objectionable and my son didn't even notice it was there. After the removal of the Little League approval, the price of this bat dropped drastically. This is now a high quality bat for a very low price! very happy with our purchase!

like all composite bats it needs breaking in
Check to make sure it's legal for your league, like all composite bats it needs breaking in, 8 yr old said it felt a little dead when he first got it, but he hits 100-150 balls a day off the tee and after a few days it came to life, he. He won his divisions homerun derby this year and is consistently hitting the ball to the fence.

Super hot
This bat has so much pop it has been banned in most leagues. Great bat but is prone to breaking after 1500 hits or so.

Bang for the buck. 5/5
Small for me, I haven't used it. I simply purchased it with another one because of the low price... I'm happy to just have it available for one of the small fries. I read that people like it.R U Serious

Good bat
This is a god bat for the money, however make sure it is legal in the league that your son plays in before buying it. My son uses it for hitting practice, the ball really pops off the bat and it builds his confidence.
