Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous

Big L is probably most well-known for being the standout member of the Diggin' In The Crates crew (of which Fat Joe was a part of - Big L is easily my favorite rapper of all time). While he was there he was easily the best rapper (he's WAY better than Fat Joe ever was or will be). What's great about "Lifestylez Ov Da Poor and Dangerous" is how fun, catchy, and hilarious it is - it's pretty unbelievable. My roommates and I quote lyrics from this and "The Big Picture" probably every day. Not only are the beats great, but Big L's voice, delivery, and lyrics are so good you can't help but wish he was still alive today (his lyrics, especially, make re-listening to the songs extremely well worth it). Big L is essentially all about the jokes - the best way one could describe the album is as "comedy-rap". The most of the album is basically Big L dissing people, but he also talks about gangster life and life as a rapper pretty ruthlessly and vividly (but not as contraversially as, say, N.W.A. I would say). Basically, if you're even just a minor rap fan then there's no possible way that I could imagine you not loving this (and it even has some appeal for non-rap fans). Overall this is just a MUST own rap album!Highlights include:the whole album!

Great album I read reviews the case came damaged mine came damaged but the cd was completely fine and just to make sure there was no damage on top of no scratches on the cd every song was playable just the case had some damage to it i bought the cd version

Big L at his best. Classic Rap.

Big L is the god MC. He is confident like no other and rhyming his ass off. Nothing about this album is pop or mainstream. If there ever was a hungry MC definition it would have a picture of Big L. He lays down some of the dopest rhymes of all time. This is a must own for anyone who loves rap.
