It's gear lube that's easy to get into that tiny fill hole on the snowblower. Doesn't take much. Should last a lot of seasons

OEM recommended - just EXPENSIVE
OEM recommended gear oil. Works as it should. The downside is the HIGH cost of it...everywhere. You can find a suitable alternative gear oil that is cheaper and just as good.

Nothing but Ariens for my Ariens
This is the only lubricant suggested to be used in the Ariens Deluxe 24 inch & larger sno-thro machines gearboxes. Best price was via Fix My Toys, whom I've purchased many items from over the years on this & other sites. Can't go wrong with either.

Used a roasting syringe with the end cut straight to top off my 30” snowblower gearbox (3/4 full). Worked great!

I’m a Canadian who purchased an Ariens 24” Deluxe snowblower from the Lowes Hardware store here in Queensbourgh, BC this year (2023). Little did I know at the time Lowes Hardware does not stock any of the warranty products like the Ariens 8oz. container of gear oil required to maintain this item. Hence I could by this 8oz.gear oil through Amazon for a mear $50.00. Buyer beware of Ariens products sold in the Vancouver British Columbia area. This product is sold for $17.00 in the US. (Bellingham Lowes store). For what it’s worth…
