Juice Beauty Sport Sunscreen SPF 30 - Mineral Zinc, Face & Body, 90 ml

I really like Juice Beauty sunscreen. I’ve been using this sunscreen for several years now (since I was diagnosed with melanoma about four years back) and it’s kept my skin safe! I use it every day. It goes on a little thick and slick and you do have to really rub it in to get it to all blend, but it has a pleasant scent and seems to go on well. It also doesn’t transfer onto other stuff. The only thing I’ve noticed - and this seems to happen moreso if I’ve applied a little too much - is that sometime it will make my bangs look a little greasy. But if you want awesome sun protection that is also natural and thoughtful when it comes to the environment, this is a nice bet. It also seems to be good in terms of having ingredients that are non-reactionary. Not sure how else to put that. But like I have a lot of allergies and I’ve reacted to even some of the other “natural” product lines. I don’t have problems with the products Juice makes. Their products have been really good for my skin. So good, in fact, that at my last skin check my dermatologist told me we could go back to yearly screenings! Cancer free baby!

I have been looking for a safe mineral/physical sunblock for a while since I finished my Coola spray sunblock, which I discover has questionable health effects. EWG sunscreen list of 2018 recommended this as having no known health dangers, affordable and good broad spectrum protection. I had researched a few other mineral sunscreens and found they all have a white cast and are super thick to spread on (badger's, aveeno baby and babybotanticals). This is sooooo nice to spread on the skin! Its still think and a bit goopy, as mineral sunscreens are, but its just takes a few good rubs to spread out. As for the white cast, it IS there but only for a minute or too. I have skin tone similar too JLo, a light toasted cinnamon color and the white cast disappears even on me. Note that a little bit goes a LONG WAY, this stuff spreads far on my arm and collar bone so I hope that means this bottle will last long with regular use. For the price of $15 I think it should be about 5 to 7 ounces, but again a little goes a long way. Also some reviews mention a scent and I dont mind it. There's no chemical smell, or even a beachy coconut scent. To me it smells like an APPLE MARTINI or like a lemony/green apple candy, Which is no surprise since it has white grape juice, apple juice, lemon extract and mandarin essential oil! And will all the nice oils, I should say it makes your skin feel very supple and soft too. The color of the product is an off white cream color which may play a role in the white cast fading so well. Overall I hope I have found my new go to sunscreen! Just hope they make bigger sizes for a similar price!

I'm ordering my second tube. I use spf30 face moisturizer so I only use this on the rest of me, and my teen daughter always uses it too. A tube lasted almost a year, and always protected very well except when i was standing in the water for a few hours playing frisbee. Upper half didnt get wet but I still got pretty pink on my chest. So if you're on the water, reapply after 90 minutes just to make sure. It has the familiar Juice product scent (I use one of their CC creams for makeup) which I love anyway. Not perfumey, actually smells clean and healthy for you. I dont notice much moisturizing but it certainly doesnt dry your skin out.

First let me say I LOVE the brand juice beauty. I love their skin care, have used their tinted moisturizer for years and refuse to switch brands. I love the owner and feel she truly cares about the ingredients which is important to me when it comes to skin care. As your skin absorbs whateve you put on it, and I use it daily on my neck and face. I decided to be cheap and use this instead of the tinted moisturizer as you get more for your $. Unfortunately it does leave a white cast…I’m very very very pale so it doesn’t really bother me and you could easily put down bronzer on but it depends what’s important to you. For me the It’s the safe quality ingredients and knowing my skin is protected. So I do love the product and use it daily. I’m sure if you rubbed it in more it would blend but I’m kinda lazy and don’t care. My skin health/protection is most important to me so I’d recommend if you’re looking for a clean product and good company to support.

I enjoyed this sunscreen while it lasted but will not be repurchasing as I have found a better mineral sunscreen. PROS: 1. Great skin-nourishing ingredients like aloe juice, sunflower seed oil, apple juice, white grape juice 2. Does not smell like traditional chemical sunscreen of the bygone days - whatever natural earthy scent dissipates quickly 3. SPF 30 with Zinc Oxide 20% so presumably good UVA and UVB protection 4. Good amount at an affordable price ($16/3oz or $12.80/3oz) and travel friendly CONS: 1. Contains coconut oil if that irritates your skin 2. Contains fragrance if that irritates your skin 3. Although it is subtly tinted, the tint does not do much work at all. There is a white cast for me- a medium skin-toned woman. 4. Sticks in hairline and when wind blows, the hair will stick to your skin.

I use to love this sunscreen, I have bought it 9 times in the last couple of years. But they have decided to change the formula so that it rubs in better and gives less of a white cast. So I received this ”New” inferior product on June 29, 2023. Went to the beach that weekend and all of us burnt to the point that my kiddo is still peeling. So I contacted the company to ask what is going on with this new product and this is what I was told. “ The new formula has passed all regulated by third party laboratories SPF testing, proving its effectiveness against UVA, UVA and water resistance. We are confident our new SPF 30 Sport Sunscreen is an effective protection against sun. It might be a bit more confusing since it melts in so quickly and maybe you aren’t using enough product with the new updated?? We recommend applying any sunscreen generously to cover all exposed areas of your body. As a general guideline, aim for about a shot glass worth of sunscreen to cover your entire body.” So I have a family of five and last time I checked a shot is 1oz. Basically I need a shot for each family member which is 5oz so two bottles (3 fl oz) for one application and since we will be at the beach for the day we would need to reapply. So according to the new directions I need 3 bottles. No thank you. I use to use one bottle for multiple trips to the beach. Good luck selling this item to families. I love that it is a clean product but this upgrade was definitely a down grade maybe offer it as both a clear version and the older mineral version. On top of everything I mentioned both kiddos experienced burning sensation on their face as soon as they entered the ocean (this has never happened in the other 8 purchases, by the way we live near the beach and go frequently). So some sort of chemical reaction must have occurred. Anyway, buyer beware this is not what you have purchased in the past. But if you are looking for a new sun protection that will burn your face as soon as you enter the ocean and only protect you if you put a third of the bottle on your body, go for it!!

I prefer a water-resistant mineral sunscreen. This is the best I have found. It appears tinted right out of the tube but quickly disappears into my medium-toned, sensitive, mature olive skin. It is THE LEAST chalky of any mineral sunscreen I have ever tried. It does take a moment to rub in, you can't just slap it on and go. Totally worth it to me. There is a scent, particular to all the Juice products. It's slight, kind of herbal/citrusy, fades pretty fast. AND it did a great job of protecting my skin from sunburn all summer. My mature skin (47, sort of dry, with lots of sun damage) had no negative issues with this product. Washed of with soap and water in the shower. No caking in creases which so many other water-resistant mineral sunscreens have done on me. I will buy this again and again. **8/8/15: to clarify: does it disappear 100% into the skin? No. But I'd say 95% where you only glimpse a little white cast to your skin in certain light. Closest to invisible than any other mineral sunscreen I've found.

This product DOES work well for sun protection. It has a slight odor that I do not like, but the reason I gave it 2 stars is due to what it did to my hair. I put this all over my face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders and wore my medium/long hair in a normal height pony tail for my run. My hair is long enough for the pony to sweep over my skin & this product caused a nightmare for my hair. I don't know how to describe it, almost like glue, hairspray, the most friction and stickiness you could imagine. I could not get a wide toothed brush through it & the ONLY option was to shower it out of my hair. So, IF you wear this, make sure you wear it with a normal crew neck t-shirt and a high/messy bun so no part of your hair touches it. And whatever you do, REALLY wash it off of your hands so that you don't accidentally PUT it in your hair when you have an itch/wipe sweat/or play with your hair out of habit. I was refunded for the product up on these complaints. As per usual, it was quick and easy to do this return with Amazon.

I used this sunscreen for an entire summer. I found that it stayed on pretty well. Just after putting it on, there is a scent vaguely reminiscent of ?dill pickle?. Only for a minute or 2, then it is gone. Like other mineral sunscreens there is some transference to other surfaces (think camera viewfinder). This one, for me, didn't give me as pasty/chalky look as others.

Does it's job, just a little hard to spread and has a little bit of a white cast. Not scent free but if you don't mind the smell of fruit loops this could work for you.

I don't like the formula. Hard to blend and didn't like the smell either
