This is a fabulous French 🌷compact foundation that provides instant (& easy!) coverage, moisture but not too much so it doesn’t slide off AND a healthy sheen but not too much. I have been using it for years ever since I discovered it in Switzerland. >>> But❗️PLEASE use a zinc oxide sunscreen first, let it sink in and then use this. NO foundation with sunscreen provides adequate protection from sun!! Cosmetic companies should tell you this!! I wish I’d known about all this before getting sun brown spots, actinic keratoses and a small cancer near my ear. PS: I use this on chest also, very important, and backs of my hands. I love it, use shade Beige (a neutral) and have never had a reaction.

I use this as a layer over my regular sunscreen when I want a little extra protection and a polished look. The tint blends beautifully and evens out my skin without feeling heavy or cakey. I have fair skin and the Beige shade works perfectly for me. It gives a soft, natural finish and is easy to reapply during the day. Great option if you want mineral sun protection with light coverage and a subtle glow.

TLDR: This sunscreen compact is a sensitive skin dream. If you are allergic to typical sunscreen or you have very sensitive skin. This Sun screen compact is a must have. No scent. Matte finish. It is by far the best thing I’ve ever found on Amazon. I love Avene products for my finicky skin period. Details on other Avene products below… I have super duper sensitive skin. I'm allergic to almost all sun protections on the planet. I have psoriasis, eczema, contact dermatitis and rosacea. And I’m sensitive to smells and chemicals. So with all that- I found this sun protection in a compact form that has a matte finish. I absolutely love this. It doesn't irritate my skin. It's easy to apply. It's great for travel. I use this when I'm driving long distance or flying because it helps protect my face from the dryness from the car or the plane. I don't know if that's a scientific fact, but it does make my skin less irritated after being in a car for 8 hours. This is my go-to sun protection. It doesn't have a smell. And it's not shiny. The only problem I have with this is the two colors are both too dark for my skin. I don't mind, though. The fact that it protects my skin from the sun doesn't have a weird smell and is comfortable for my stupid irritable skin is all that matters. I love the compact. It's especially great for outdoor events. Went to football game last year, and my skin was comfortable and protected. The attached photos (green top) what my face looks like without anything for comparison. (pink tank top) show what the beige looks like on very fair skin. And last, outdoor (football game). Other Exceptional products from avene for sensitive/ irritable skin The Xeracalm line is a life saver for someone with skin conditions. Xeracalm is great for easily irritated skin. The body wash and bar are my first line of defense when my skin is acting up. They essentially “put the fire out”. Xeracalm balm or cream are also nice for when my skins is angry. The thermal water mist is also a must have. It works great for calming my skin when it gets irritated but also cools it down when it is overheated from the rosacea. The soothing eye cream (which is discontinued now) was great for eyelid eczema. I found cicalfate plus works for my purposes on my eye area eczema. And the tolerance face balm is great when your skin is already upset. It helps to settle it down.

I love everything about this product except for the fact that, as many other reviewers have stated, it is a bit too dark I am fair skinned, 70 years old with numerous precancerous spots on my chest that have been zapped by my dermatologist. I love the SPF 50 protection of this product and how it evens out the pigmentation on my chest and create a lovely velvety smooth matte appearance. The shade is closer to a medium tan so it is ok on my chest and neck/throat areas but too dark for my face. I do wish it were available in a lighter shade. I previously had the same type of product from La Roche Posay in the perfect shade but they have apparently discontinued the product.

I am in LOVE with this product! Yes, the tinted foundation part can be rubbed off a little if my sunglasses touch my nose or if I accidentally touch my face (and yes, my fingers pick up a bit of product). But honestly, it’s such a small thing because this compact is AMAZING. It feels so weightless on my skin that I forget I’m wearing anything at all. It lasts beautifully throughout the day, and if I do smudge it, I can easily smooth it back into place just by lightly blending with my finger—so quick and effortless! I have sensitive skin, and this formula is so gentle—it never causes irritation or discomfort. It’s also incredibly convenient: I just apply my sunscreen, then quickly swipe this on and my base makeup is done in seconds. When I first saw the beige shade, I worried it might be too dark for me. But once applied, it actually looks perfect—my skin looks so clean, even, and naturally radiant. And the fact that it’s SPF 50 mineral sunscreen is just perfection. Even after sweating under the sun, I can just blot with a tissue, and my makeup still looks fresh and flawless. Honestly, this is one of those rare products I know I’ll keep repurchasing over and over again.

I’ve bought this product a couple of times now. Definitely put it in your cart or on a list to be alerted when it goes on sale. It is the best product I’ve found so far for what it provides: sunscreen, coverage, and easy application. Some of the products I’ve tried before have been cakey or the color doesn’t really blend. This one does. It goes on smooth and the color match for me was spot on. My skin is especially sensitive to cancer possibilities so I keep one in my purse and one in my beachbag.

I really love this tinted sunscreen. It usually works well and has decent coverage without being too thick. However, this particular one I ordered doesn’t seem to be good. Maybe a bad batch or something. It is very thin and hard to not get too much on the pad or brush. It also doesn’t “stick” to the skin well. It just smears and doesn’t cover well at all. I can see the brush lines on my face. I missed the return window because I still had some left from before and just recently opened this one. It is a bit pricey to not be able to use it.

I love this! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! As an Asian women with brown skin with warm/golden undertones, it is very difficult to find physical sunscreens that don’t make me look ashy. This particular product in the sand tone is perfect for my skin tone, gives me great skin protection and also gives a nice glow to the skin on top of all my makeup. It has a teeny bit of white cast but that’s easily blendable with the rest of my makeup. It’s also super easy to re-apply on top of my makeup without looking cakey. The most important bonus is that it doesn’t make me break out at all which is rare as I have very sensitive skin. I wouldn’t recommend going for the darker shade if you’re in the medium brown skin tone as it will be too dark. The sand shade is absolutely perfect! If your skin is lighter than mine, this sand shade will be too dark for you. I will definitely be stocking up on this!
