Color Me Clean Dry Shampoo

I dye my hair jet black every other 3 months…. (Im a 28 year old with white hairs🫠) i have some thinning in the front and i don’t always wash my hair…. So this dry shampoo saves me, it covers up my thinning and removes the grease from my hair. The only con i have is the smell… its kinda of unpleasant when spraying but it doesn’t linger throughout the day, just when spraying…. It is super black so your hair will look refreshed, i go through 2 bottles of this a month…. Super good!!!!!!!

I have been a hairdresser for 18 years, this product is AMAZING! I suggest it for my clients (and i use it myself on my own hair) that have an ashy shadow root. When their roots grow in if they can’t get to me for a touch up in time I suggest this spray! I advise them to spray it on the root in a sweeping motion to blend in their natural root to their grown out ashy shadow root. It’s amazing.

I have short (chin-length) blonde, highlighted hair and was looking for a temporary color that would not stain my hair - this product delivered. Just as it say on the can, the color is buildable - you can go for pale pink or apply more for a more vibrant color. It's also very easy to apply and control the location of the color if you're doing "accents". It washes out easily - one shower did the trick for me. I washed my hair twice and there was absolutely no lingering color. I used a lot in certain areas and have very light hair. In fact, the first time I used it was immediately after my highlights were done (when the hair is more porous) and I was concerned about staining. It did not. This product stays in well and does not transfer to hands, appliances (flatiron), brushes, combs, clothing or pillow cases. I left it in once for four days and experienced only very slight fading. If we were only basing it on looks, I'd give this product five stars. However, the texture it imparts to the hair and the smell are pretty serious downsides. I'm not sure how a product that goes on dry can make hair sticky, but that's what this stuff does. It makes my hair difficult to comb through - I couldn't imagine trying to use it all over my head or as an actual "dry shampoo". The smell is simply awful. After I spray a bit on I have to leave the bathroom. Honestly, I would do it outside if I had a mirror set up. And the smell lingers as long as it's on your hair. For me, this is not a deal breaker because I'm more concerned about the look - I'm also not sensitive to smells and no one else has complained about the smell. I also don't think this product is a great value. On my short hair, only doing a few sections, I get maybe 2 - 3 uses out of a can. Overall, if you want some nice pink temporary color that's easy to use and easy to get out, I would definitely recommend. If strong smells are a deal breaker for you, find something else. Additionally, I would absolutely not recommend using this as a dry shampoo because of the weird texture it imparts to the hair and the fact that regular use could get pretty costly.

Smells bad, does not add any color whatsoever, and does not function as a dry shampoo; it didn't become dry once on my hair, instead, it made my hair feel dirtier and even more greasy than it already was. I had bought the white/silver to boost and maintain the silver clenditioner I had been using on my hair (which had a cool effect on my pre-existing balayage that gradually blended my natural light-brown/dirty-blonde to multiple shades of light and platinum blonde). The clenditioners always work, I have never had an issue and when you follow the instructions and stay within the colors that it states are appropriate for your hair color, than it does what it's supposed to do. But this dry shampoo is crap, and I don't imagine that any of the other colors would be much better (although I have not tested them so I can't really speak to those). The residue from my other dry shampoo makes more of a difference in adding dimension and the "white/silver" to my hair than this garbage. Save your money.

I use this in my blonde hair for a temporary color and it’s gorgeous. It’s more of a true pink on my hair than rose gold like the conditioner from the same brand I’ve used in the past but it’s pretty and it’s and it lets me go an extra day or two in between washing so no complaints!

Oh lord the smell. The smell is terrible! I can feel the burning in my throat and nose and it smells like diesel fuel and strong chemicals. It didn't leave any purple and it made my hair sticky.

I enjoyed using this a couple times. However, my bathroom counter and wall was stained purple for a couple weeks. Its messy, it makes hair feel dry, and it takes quite a bit to get a strong color. But it serves its purpose and can add a little fun for a day or 2.

This product worked pretty well. However, it left my hair kind of tacky, like when you use too much hairspray.
