Is this model too large for a Benrlli M4 with a smal RMR sight?

The Benelli M4 Tactical is 40-inches in overall length. The SSG (Scoped Shotgun) case is 52-inches in length. Also, the Benelli M4 is a pistol-gripped stock, which would add to the overall height of the gun. The SSG case may be too long for your needs, but it would work.However, The SCR-1 (for scoped rifles and measures 10" x 46") or the SRC-2 (For the AR and measures 11.5" x 42") may be suitable.

I have high scope rings and a bipod on my Ruger American, would this fit it? There's no way a regular-sized sock will fit over it.

The scope should be no problem. I've used one of these on old military sniper rifles with high-mount scopes, so unless you have a truly enormous scope, it should be fine. Whether it fits the bipod depends on how and where the bipod is attached, and which way it folds. Most hunting rifle bipods have QD connections to the front sling swivel and you may have to detach the bipod to fit the rifle in the sock.
