I love these loafers. Not sure it is fair to call them a shoe because they feel like a cross between a comfortable flip flop and a house slipper. I had high expectations based on the reviews and the Sanuk Men's Chiba Loafer completely surpassed everything I was expecting. Looked better, felt more comfortable, and became my most comfortable summer shoes from the first day I wore them. The Chibas look great with shorts or pants, these have gotten numerous comments and people asking where I bought them. They are a nice alternative to wearing "flip flops" but to me they feel equally comfortable if not more comfortable. I wear size 13 and these fit as expected (like a glove) but what I didn't expect was the breathability. My feet don't seem to sweat or get hot in these at all and I really wasn't expecting that. I wear them without socks and so far I haven't noticed any "funk" even though they have been worn throughout the dog days of summer (hot and humid). They say they are machine washable (leave out to dry - no dryer) but I haven't had to do that yet. I feel like these are going to give me many years of great use and they are sooooo comfortable I am legit considering purchasing a second pair to use as house slippers since I struggle to find slippers that don't make my feet sweat too much. This product is a winner IMO and I will purchasing more from this brand in the future. I will continue to suggest this product to anyone who asks me about them. I plan on wearing these into the cool weather but they don't offer much in the way of protection from wet or snow. Great purchase, I waited for a while to pull the trigger on buying these for some reason but I am very happy I got them when I did. If you are on the fence I would say go for it and you can thank me later.

These are great for all those times when you would rather be barefoot, but you have to wear shoes. They are comfortable in the summer heat and provide just enough protection in the winter cold. They look good with shorts or jeans and they seem to never wear out. My last pair finally developed a hole in the sole after 5 years or so.

This is my third pair of these and i will continue to buy them as long as they are made. Very comfortable and light weight. I'm an extremely harm blooded person, I freeze my poor wife to death because I Keep the house so cold. and these fit the bill perfectly. I've tried other "slippers" and they are just too warm for my feet. They're light weight and don't make my feet hot. I do something a little different and could probably buy a slip on, buy these are so comfortable I modify them. I just cut the heel part out and make them a slip on slipper. I actually have a spare pair in the closet just in case they stop making these, I'll be set for a couple more years.

So comfortable and stylish-ous!!! One of the best purchases I can think of that I have ever made. A true value. They can be slippers, flip flops and even a stylish casual dress shoe. I wore them with a casual khaki linen pants and a dress shirt untucked and I have to say I felt like I belonged on a yacht. Yet I can't help just wearing them around the house as a bedroom slipper. My feet sweat and living in a tropical climate usually means I can't wear flip flops or Crocs because it is a slippery mess. These aren't bad. No need to wear socks. I have wide feet; no worries - they conformed almost instantly. Even brand new they were mine as if I had them for years. I am not paid to say any of this. Just my honest opinion. I love them. If you like the style and are thinking about getting a pair definitely worth a shot. A closed toe flip flop for so many shoe purposes. I have not had to wash them or clean them yet, but I will say they they are the type of absorbent canvas cotton material that may stain and get dirty fast. I don't know yet. But that may just add to their pre-worn look.

These LOOK great but they were much too small. I wear an 11 men's (US) in just about everything but I do enjoy the comfort of a wider toe box. I'm not sure if I have wide feet or not but I don't buy wide sizes. Got a size 11 here for the olive color and they fit very snuggly. The big toe was compressed (shoe length) and the shoe itself wrapped my foot firmly (width). They were comfortable but there was no room to breathe. Felt they would give me sweaty feet if I wore them for more than 10 minutes. They felt mostly like a water mocassin you'd wear at the beach, pool, lake, etc. They did not feel like a "shoe" or slippers even. I just returned them and am now ordering the size 12. Hopefully that will make the difference because they are really very nice looking shoes. If so, I'll try to remember to post an update. UPDATE: I ordered the size 12 and they fit much better despite the fact that they are a bit long. The amount of room inside is great. It took a little getting used to the longer sole the first day but I'm glad to have the room compared to the tight size 11s. I will keep the 12s. These shoes look great!

Like this brand. Comfortable and light

I bought these for my hubby who doesn't really like to wear sandals. I was tired of the awkward socks and ugly sneakers look when he wore shorts and thought I'd see if he'd wear something a little trendier. I have had a pair of the women's yoga flip flops for a couple years and knew the brand would be durable enough to suit my hubby. So when I ordered my daughter's yoga flip flops, and another set for myself I figured I'd try these for the hubby. He liked the look of them straight out of the pkg. Win #1! The fit was perfect for him. Win #2! After wearing them for a few hours in the evening he declared "OHMYGOD, I'm never taking these off! These are the most comfy shoes I've ever had on my feet!" Win #3 In fact, the first pair I bought him were the brown color...and because he loved them so much (he actually ran as a touch judge in them for our teenage son's rugby game) I ordered a black pair for him as well. Now our son wants his own pair, as he is the ONLY family member without any Sanuks.

I'm sure somebody has already said this for the people complaining they are too small.... but, I'm gonna say it again just for the heck of it. It is a water shoe, people. It is meant to be tight when you first get it. That way it doesn't come off the first time you step in some water and feel that sucking pull when you step out of the water. This is what water shoes do, they stay the heck on. (I'm on Amazon so I'm gonna behave... but that wasn't 2 "hecks" when I just reread that in my mind.) Anyway, now I'm gonna tell ya'll way more about my feet than ya'll ever wanted to know so I can tell ya'll how great these shoes are. I have a very, ridiculously, high instep. I actually would wear a 9.5 if it weren't for that. I have to go up a half size to get my foot in the shoe. I also have plantar fasciitis and bone spurs from standing on my feet on hard concrete in the restaurant biz for roughly 27 years. (Hence the not-hecks above.) My podiatrist told me to throw my house shoes away and to never wear house shoes or slippers or anything like that. He told me the only time he wants me barefooted is when I am in the shower, or in bed, or sitting for a long period of time. He said point blank, "If you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I want you wearing real shoes." Here's where the Sanuks come in. This is my second pair of this exact style. Just wearing them as house shoes, with some of the expensive arch-support inserts in them, I wore the soles down until they were slippery. It took 4 years. I'm not complaining. Now, I know you're probably thinking, "Dude! The doctor told you not to wear house shoes!" Sanuks, at least this model anyway, are not house shoes. I just use them as such so I don't have to fool with laces at 3 am en route to the bathroom. They are slip-ons, but make no mistake these are real shoes, especially once you add the insert of your choice. Now, for ya'll whiny folks, the inserts are gonna make them even tighter. I still suggest going with your regular size. They'll stretch over time. Pro-tip: I did it the hard way last time and just wore them until they no longer hurt. This time I cheated and used two bottles of Torani Vanilla syrup, fat end first, as shoe-stretchers like your grandpa used to have. (Wine bottles would probably work just as well...) I left them in for about a week and the shoes are almost perfectly broken in now.... just a little tight, but I know that'll go away in time. I love these shoes. I like the look of them. I can't recommend them enough.

House slippers..

Mis hijos me dicen que son zapatos de "vagabundo" y justamente esa apariencia es la que los hace únicos, diferentes y me encantan! Si a eso le agregas la comodidad (son anchos y perfectos para mis pies de "pato") y lo liviano que son, enseguida ocuparon el puesto no. 1 en el "top ten" de mi calzado! :)

Have literally worn these to death, wearing a hole in the bottom of them after prob a year of wearing them almost daily. Have bought about 4 other pairs since haha

I've had a pair of Sanuks for years, so I thought I'd try a different style. Just as I hoped, these ones look and feel great, just like my first pair. Very happy withg my purchase!
