Found the solution to transfer files from 128 GB SD card to iPAD!
Finally found the card reader which could transfer files from my Sony 6300 and Sony 6000 SD cards to my new iPAD (latest edition 2018)! I first tried the Apple camera and card reader (made by Apple with lightening and USB connectors) which could not recognize the Sony cameras nor my Trascend card reader), then read a lot on Amazon and internet about card readers and there was always someone who complained his reader could not work with iPAD, until I found this one with relatively few reviews but mostly positive. I hesitated but gave it a try because of Prime return policy, received it today, and voila! It worked! I was able to transfer JPG, ARW (raw file), and MP4 from my Sandisk extreme Pro 95mb/s 128 GB SD card to my Ipad (you will be prompted to download the iUSB app from app store when you connect the card reader to Ipad) using the iUSB app. Again, this review is written on the first day of use, and I hope this wonderful card reader lasts!

Easy back up to SD or microSD
I have a friend who doesn't trust storing her photos on the cloud. She likes having a physical backup copy to store on an SD card and to be able to connect to various computers without having to log in to an online source. This product was perfect for her!I downloaded the iUSB Pro app (free on the Appstore) to her iPhone 6 and iPad (latest generation). I used a PNY 64GB SDXC card I had removed from my DSLR camera and inserted it into the geekgo SD Card Reader before I connected it to my friend's iPhone with the app installed. I did not format the card (erase it) before doing this and the old files I had on it (photos and some other document files) remained on the drive.Once connected to the iPhone via the lightning connection I opened the iUSB Pro app on her device. I then touched the iPhone icon at the bottom right of the app. The option to back up her photos was there and when I touched "backup" the reader began sending photos and video to the SDXC card installed in the reader. It took approximately 5 minutes to transfer over 5,000 photos to the SDXC card, but faster transfer rates would be possible with a faster SD or microSD card installed in the reader.I appreciated the simplicity of this device and the free app. I know that without me (her tech friend) she could still backup her photos and regain space on her iPhone if desired. She could also add music or photos to a card from her computer and add it to other devices including her iPhone, iPad or Amazon Fire tablet.Transferring files between devices would also be an option which is great for both iOS and Android users as it allows for easy file sharing without the need to go online or use data to transfer music, photos or other documents. There are lots of applications for this cross-platform adapter and I'm happy to have it! I will be buying more to give as gifts as it's super handy and easy to use.

Hooray for freed up space on my phone!
Sweet! I'm able to dump photos and videos from my phone to my computer or to an SD card easily and quickly! Hooray for freed up space on my phone. Pros: Good value for the cost - about middle priced for what it does. Nicely packaged. Clear instructions. I'm sure there are other ways to use this cord other than why I bought it - I just haven't needed to figure that out yet. Cons: works with a downloadable app. I wish it just "worked" but maybe it's for the best that you have to tell it what to do... For a brief 10 minutes I had twice as many photos and videos on my phone because of User Error...

An Excellent Solution for iOS external file management and transfer!!!
It arrived yesterday via Prime 1-day delivery. I also have the official Apple regular SD card reader to compare to.First of all, I thought the iUSB Pro, app was buggy or something. Kept crashing on me when I tried to transfer images or video to the camera roll. Sharing/exporting/open in worked fine. Here's what I discovered.. at the bottom of the iUSB app screen there's an icon to view what's on the SD card. There are also icons for the App, Camera, iPad/iPhone, and settings.IMPORTANT: I first went to the iUSB icon to view my SD card content. That's where I was getting crashes. After I selected the iPad/iPhone icon to view the device's camera roll, I got the message asking permission for the iUSB app to access the camera roll. After I granted permission, everything worked well as expected. So, after you install the app, make sure you first go to the iPad/iPhone device icon so that you can grant the app access to the camera roll. The speed of transfer with the GeekGo seems slightly faster than the Apple SD card reader. Not blazingly so, but noticeable.Score 1 for GeekGo vs Apple readerWhat's GREAT about the GeekGo app is that once I've loaded an SD card and after it's built the thumbnail library of previews, when I reinsert the card later, it doesn't have to rebuild the thumbnails every time. The Apple one is not like this. If you have an SD card full of highres photos with RAW files, this can be very time consuming. The Apple reader has to rebuild the thumbnails every freakin' time. Not so with the GeekGo.Score 2 for GeekGo vs Apple readerContrary to what the seller of the GeekGo has replied to users in the questions section, it DOES support photo RAW files. It just doesn't create a preview of the RAW files. I shoot JPG + RAW, so I just note the file number of the JPG file and open it's RAW counterpart. The Apple SD card reader only shows you one preview, but opens as RAW in applications that support RAW. I think I prefer the GeekGo method in that I know for sure I'm opening the RAW file specifically and not inadvertently getting the JPG preview or companion file.Score 3 for GeekGo vs Apple readerThe Apple reader only supports SD, or micro SD with an adaptor. The GeekGo has both SD and micro SD slots so I don't have to carry a micro SD to SD converter with me.Score 4 for GeekGo vs Apple readerThe GeekGo allows you to use the USB end to connect to an external backup battery to charge your device, while also transferring files to/from your SD card. I just tried this and it works fine. The app is a little finicky with regard to charging AND transferring, but I found that it seems to work better if you start charging first, then insert the SD card. The Apple SD card obviously doesn't do this at all.Score 5 for GeekGo vs Apple readerThe Apple SD reader ONLY interfaces with the camera roll. Using the GeekGo and it's app, I can interface copy/move etc. with other file management apps. I just tried moving a video file to the iUSB Pro app and then onto an SD card in the GeekGo reader using the GoodReader app. Worked perfectly. I also tried using Apple's Files app and did the same thing. Worked just as well.Score 6 for GeekGo vs Apple readerThis is a great find and solves a lot of file management issues I have using my mobile devices on the road. Excellent buy and highly recommended!

Easy to use, videos play without a hitch
Works exactly as described. It's easy to transfer files to an SD or micro-SD card from your computer (plug-and-play), which can then be accessed via a free app on your iPhone or iPad (I tried both). Videos play smoothly, without any buffering or delays. Highly recommended!

Adapter does not fit on card reader.
I bought this device to fit my Android Galaxy S10 phone. The adapter provided did not fit on the Card readers Lightning end. This makes the device unusable for my Android phone.
