My son says this is very comfortable, but has only used it for 1 minute so we will find out when the season starts. I wanted to get on here to share our experience. We had to redo the process once as we had way too much material in front of the front teeth. The mouthguard would fall out immediately. On our second try, I made sure to push up against the front teeth harder than before, before having him bite down. This helped a great deal. We ordered an adult after reading the reviews that the youth was too small. Either we got a repackaged and returned one or the adults are extremely small as well. My son is 8 with a mouth still full of 12 baby teeth. This barely fit him. The back comes to the middle of his only adult molars. I am female with a small mouth that the dentist has to use the small fluoride trays on and this does not fit my mouth, it is too small!!! We are heading to Dick’s today to see if they have both the youth and the adult in stock so I can see which one we actually got. Overall product looks like it will do what it is supposed to, but it is very small so order accordingly. Because it seems to fit my son, I am giving it 5 stars, as that is why we bought it. If it turns out to have been repackaged, I will reduce my review to one star.

Very large in mouth, but great for the price

These do their job. I was a little surprised at how small they are. I actually thought about returning them. However, if you read the instructions carefully you will note that these and other similar mouthguards are not designed to go all the way back to your last molar. They are supposed to just go to your first molar. The process of making them fit was easy. I microwaved them in some water, then put them in my mouth and bit down. They did shrink just a tiny bit when they hardened, so they push my teeth in a little. You wouldn't notice if you are just using this for sports, but I imagine that if I used this at night it might have an effect on my bite. They are a little bulky, but not more so than competing products. I'm actually not sure why they can't make these slimmer. Must be some constraints I'm not aware of. The taste...it's ok. Very persistent. It continues to smell and taste of a light lemon with hints of some kind of tea after many uses. It's not delicious, but I suppose it's far superior to the taste of wax or rubber or old spit. Overall I'm satisfied with this mouth guard. It's good quality.

This item doesn’t fil the mouth well at all. It’s way too small and doesn’t fit my daughters mouth at all! It’s not the best fit if you have a long bite or mouth length.

So after spontaneously enrolling in judo classes, I quickly found out that I needed a good mouthguard or I'd risk knocking a few teeth loose. Having never used one before, I was surprised to find out about how specially molded they need to be around your teeth for comfort and safety's sake. I settled on this one, because the price seemed right for a beginner. But after using it in class, I'm sure any pro would love to use it as well. The instructions were handy for molding the mouthguard.. You're supposed to dip the mouthguard into boiling water for about a minute and a half, splash some cold water on it, and then bite down firmly into. The softened gel molds around your teeth, no matter the shape and holds as it cools. No worries, the material itself isn't hot at all, but it's much more pliable when dipped in the hot water. If you don't get it just the way you want it, you can repeat the process by sticking it in boiling water again and retrying. Easy peasy. There's no distinct flavor whatsoever, thankfully. It does take some getting used to, but I was so preoccupied with my opponent that it quickly becomes second nature to have it in your mouth. The mouthguard also has a built-in "breathing channel" that allows you to breathe heavily through your mouth even when you're fully clamped down. Included with the mouthguard is flexible tether that call attach to football helmets and such, but I had no use for it. All in all, very happy with the product-- from customizing it and putting it to the test.

Giant! This is not for normal people with normal mouth. I wish I could get my money back!

Es buen bucal, lo usé durante una semana y me ha salvado de varias, lo utilizo para entrenar BJJ. Me tomó cinco intentos amoldarlo bien a mis dientes y ahora sí queda perfecto, no se sale de los dientes. En lo personal me molesta un poco en el labio superior y de por sí es un poco rígido. Entrenaba MMA y la verdad lo recomendaría para un sparring suave, para una pelea amateur o profesional todavía no lo sé. En sí es muy bueno para entrenamiento y me salió barato y con envío gratis con Prime :)

Uso il paradenti da quando ho 5 anni per giocare a rugby, no ho provati un'infinità dai modelli base a quelli un po' più costosi, questo li surclassa tutti. La superficie gel è la determinante, attecchisce perfettamente ai denti ed in bocca è comodissimo. Ormai non uso altro che Shock Doctor.

Easy to use and the breathing hole is soo good for boxing

Bought it for field hockey after I had my braces taken off. Easily to mould, just make sure you leave it in the hot water long enough. No problems, can talk with it in although it does stick out (expected).
