Love my Civic....HATE(D) the lights.....
I have had this 98 coupe for about ten years, and as all Civic owners know, they are great cars. But all Civic owners also know that the headlights SUCK, especially on dark and stormy nights. At any rate, I resisted installing projectors because of the rice effect, but after my pair of OEM replacement headlights were out of alignment and unpointable (I think someone might have bumped me in a parking lot?) I gave in and got these. The MAIN question I had when looking at them on Amazon was....how is the light? So that's why I'm writing this review....it's WAY better. As one reviewer said, adjusting these things is impossible once they're in the car, and believe it. You cannot reach the adjustment screw for elevation of the low beams once the housing is installed in the car. Take the time to get them adjusted correctly, and as long as you can stand the cosmetics, you will be very glad you bought them. One warning I have for those who may not know, is that VA, and I would assume other states, requires an amber turn signal bulb. Since the stock set up is a clear bulb in an amber housing, you might want to replace the stock bulb with the amber bulb for the turn signal (the amber reflector with the clear housing won't cut it). These are the ones you want if you care about staying legal, or if you just got a fix-it ticket....http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COB8UK/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_26So, I hope that helps people who are in the same boat I was in. I only wish I had done this years ago, because the improvement in light is so significant.

Looks cool but lacking in funcationality
I bought these a year ago for my 1998 Honda Civic. So far I the only good point about them is they look cool. If I have to replace these i will go back with a stock light. Connecting the lights with the halo's wasn't too hard. I searched youtube and found several videos - plus you need to find the right wires using a multimeter.Good:1) Look cool2) Excellent packagingBad (based on my experience with my 1988 Honda Civic):1) To replace the bulb, you have to unmount the lights (removing bumper as well). That is a pain.2) Part of the coating is coming off after only 10 months of use - if it gets worse I will drop to one or two stars.3) To adjust the lights you have to unmount them. I actually cut out part of the metal support so I could use a flexible head screwdriver to adjust the light beam (see pic with red highlight). Otherwise you have to mount the light - see how far it needs to move, unmount and adjust, remount and check again.4) The bulbs that came with the light lasted about 10 months. This is my work car and seldom drive at night. Can't believe I have more than 200 hours with the lights on.

Good price, very bright
These were a very nice upgrade for my car. My Civic had the foggy head lamps and I didn't want to spend the time buffing them. I found these and the installation was very quick and easy (though I already had a known line I could hook into for the halos.) The halos require an extra 12v line that's only on when the car is on. If you're not experienced with electricity keep this in mind.

Do not buy
Do not buy these I repeat do not buy them I had them for about a year and a half the clear coat started cracking on them which is no big deal at thing now I have a short in one of them that everytime I hit a bump the light goes out and the company will do nothing about it you pay way too much for these for them to do what they're doing so short of time save yourself the hassle and go by yourself just Factory lenses

Best lights out
These are amazing headlights. They look great on my 1998 Honda Civic DX hatchback. It gives the cars it's own personality and really makes it stand out. The lights are so much brighter than factory ones so there is no problem seeing at night now.

Great replacement
Our 97 civic's headlights were fogged beyond cleaning. My 16 yo found these to replace. Took a little work, had to make a trip to Home Depot to get the special connectors for the halo lights, but they were easy to use and only a couple of bucks. Learned how to remove the front bumper, twice to get these first installed, and then to take them out to adjust the height of the lights.Read that again, and then adjust the headlights before you replace the bumper the first time! ha ha. The adjusters are difficult if not impossible to reach once they are installed. It was a fun project that I enjoyed doing with my son, and he appreciates the coolnesss factor that it adds to an older car.

Great product!!!
These head lights fit my Honda Civic CX model year 1998.Pros: Lights up great, clear cut line on top of the light path just like all Halogen Projectors, and easy to install if you know your way around cars. Also Spyder Auto out did themselves and placed a video on how to install their product on youtube.Cons: The main lights connect with a simple plug (this plug is the same as current head lights). However you will need to rewire for the Halo Eyes leds to work when the runner lights are turned on.All in all this is a great upgrade to stock oem lights.
