what size would a EU 40 be please ? i thought & but they don't seem to list a size 7

I bought a 41 because the website said to order a size larger and I would say that is a ladies size 8 (or maybe 7.1/2) so I am guessing a 40 would be 7 to 7.1/2 for a lady but probably only a 6 or 6.1/2 for a man. Whereas maybe a man should order a larger size I think a woman should definitely go for the correct size as the pair i got are too big for me - but as its only for slopping about in the garden i didn't bother to do an exchange,

Are they ok for walking long distances?

My husband uses them like crocs so just pottering around the garden and ok for driving short distances. I would suggest walking shoes with proper support for walking long distances.
