This body wash really IS as good a others have reported. I was skeptical about the claims of this being gentle on skin and leaving the skin feeling clean at the same time. Full disclosure, I am not a fan of body washes because the only ones I've used in the past have been highly scented and I discarded the washes after discovering this. I purchased Sebamed body wash solely on the basis that it was good for sensitive skin and didn't stink to high heaven. We have been using this body wash in our travel trailer for the past month or so and it is everything advertised. Neither my husband or I have had any skin irritation after using it, it foams nicely on a sponge and leaves the skin feeling nice and clean, and it doesn't dry out our skin. I was concerned that it wouldn't be as effective as the deoderizing soap we had been using, that was not the case. My only tiny complaint about this wash is the slightly funky odor it has when it is dispensed onto the sponge before it is massaged into foaminess. Fortunately the odor dissipates quickly and there is no lingering scent of it after you rinse off. This is a good product, worth the extra $ to avoid all the skin irritation that can come from soaps and other bathing products. As an aside, a little bit of this wash goes a LONG way when applied with as soft body sponge. This pump bottle will last a long time when it only requires a pump or two per shower.

This is the best body soap ever! Goes a long way and have used it for many years with no outbreaks and have the softest skin.

So I have hyperhidrosis(uncontrollable sweating) bromhidrosis (body odor that doesn’t go away with showering and gets worse with fragrant products) Other soaps would cause for me to have a weird smell. It was so bad I could only use unscented soaps with absolutely NO fragrance. So this left me with using unscented feminine wash all over my body, one was made with boric acid. I thought this would help my body odor. I started using ph balanced body washes like Eucerin but I didn’t feel fully clean. I started doing research on TMAU forums and slot of the people in recovery from their body odor issue mentioned acidified body wash. So I did some research on what body washes had a 5.5 ph and this one showed up. I figured I had nothing left to lose and I got tired of everyone avoiding me at work because I smelled bad , so I gave it a try. The package was packed great, didn’t leak into the package and arrived overnight. Also it’s so big! When I got it I was a little concerned because it has green dye and there was a slight fragrance. I did some research and some people said that the smell goes away after showering. So I thought I would give it a try. I used a bamboo scrubbing brush and applied this to my skin. I made sure to scrub well to get rid of the dead skin and dirt. It doesn’t dry out my skin and it doesn’t lather that much. But when I finished my shower I actually felt clean, not like there was a lot of heavy moisturizers on my skin. By the time I toweled down and got dressed the smell pretty much dissipated. I’ve been using this product for 4-6months almost daily with unscented Lume Swear Control and it has done wonders for my odor problem. My skin is no longer sensitive and I can actually wear stuff with fragrance again. I’ve been able to build up my perfume collection again and it feels good. People at my job actually tell me I smell good. One girl borrowed my sweater all day and didn’t complain about an odor. People at my job actually offer me rides home now. At my last job the odor problem was so bad people would avoid me. This stuff is pretty expensive so I only use it in the morning and in the evening I use Peppermint Dr. Bronners Castile soap. I’ve got 1/4 of the bottle left and the only regret I have is not buying a new bottle when it was on sale a couple weeks ago. The cost can be a bit much and I have considered trying other products, but I won’t stray! Sebamed has a customer for life!

Sebamed is a “head to toe” ph balanced cleanser for all bodies. It is a hand wash, shower gel and face wash product all in one bottle. This cleanser has a light medicinal smell that fades within moments after rinsing . Your skin will not be left with the dry tight, itchy feeling so many regular cleansers and bar soaps impart. I can personally say that I have experienced a significant reduction in breakouts and my overall skin relieved of the dry itchiness I was dealing with using other soap products. This cleanser is not just for those with sensitive skin or autoimmune issues. Pros: •Replaces 100% of all your cleansers ( including personal care, face) •Paraben free •Light product smell fades quickly during rinse. •Gentle enough to use for lash extension care. •Clear window on bottle let’s you know when it’s time to reorder. •Narrowed bottle width is easy to grasp. • Pump style bottle works smoothly , dispenses appropriate amount of product while reducing waste. • Bottle made with recyclable plastic (2) Cons: • Expensive up front • The green color may be off putting for some. • The slightly clinical scent of Sebamed . (Remember it disappears with the rinse.) Some thoughts: We’ve been conditioned to invest in the brightest, shiniest and most colorfully named products without really considering their actual usefulness. Sebamed might not look very “ pretty” it doesn’t have a flashy bottle or cute name/advertisement pushing it but it really does work amazingly well. I’m always searching for good skincare products for my family that can help with a wide range of skin conditions: dry, oily, eczema-prone, acne-prone and if at all possible, make bathing less fussy and more streamlined. I bought this on a whim to try after noticing its rating and reviews. I’m not crazy about the scent—it’s not a total dealbreaker but it’s perfumed in an old school way which I want to believe is somehow functional. With that said, I dislike the scent enough to mention. What I do like is relative to my go-to face cleanser (iS Clinical) this stuff is not expensive which means it can be used liberally to cleanse both face and body. No one in my household has had any adverse reactions and recently I decided to try using it as a scalp cleanser/shampoo. Pretty straightforward experiment and my hair felt squeaky clean and ready to accept conditioner and after using it for this purpose several times, I’m noticing that my scalp feels better. It no longer feels irritated and itchy and my hair looks and styles as if I’m using whatever fancy shampoo I normally have stocked. Not sure what to do from here…if it only smelled better…

I have been looking for a body wash that didn't leave my skin tight or dry and this is it. I tried dove, dr bronners, black soap, and all these organics but they all made my skin dry and tight. I guess it really does matter about are skin barrier because this product leaves me smooth! No tightness at all or dry. BUT! Not good for my face. My face gets super itchy and sensitive. But works amazing for my body. Healing up all my dry skin and healing folliculitis on my back.there is a little itching it leaves on my elbows but that's it. I use a loofah . Suds up super good. At first I only used my hands but didn't bubble up that much. So I used to loofa to feel better about it. I guess because we are so used too having that feeling or seeing bubbles. It does smell weird but who cares it leaves my skin smooth. Smells like gel or lemon. Idk but it works. Should last a while I f you use a loofah.i give it a 4 because it irritates face and little itchy on elbows. UPDATE 2-14-18 So at first I use to apply the liquid straight onto my face but now I shake the bottle first and apply it to loofah than I take some of the suds with my hand and apply to face and I get 0 irritation. I'm giving it 5 stars now. And no more itching on elbows . Hopefully amazon gets the fragrance free kind.
