The model number and name for the following item is: Fasco Motors D7908 Motor Review: Imagine a photo of my family (& dogs too!) Jumping for Joy - After being without air conditioning for almost three weeks, we were ecstatic when a friend installed this motor and the temperature inside our house in Las Vegas dropped from 90-something degrees to a comfortable 72 degrees. The motor is very quiet while running, I don't even notice it at all. It is strongly suggested that when replacing this motor, to also replace the capacitor. If the capacitor is working anything less than 10% of its normal output, it should be replaced. If not, the motor could be forced to work harder and burn out very quickly. (This information can be found on the manufacturer's website.) Needless to say we're all very happy, now we're all very cool. Review: Worst Motor I have ever purchased - Motor is made of poor quality materials. The lead wires are all aluminum. The threaded rods which hold the motor together were made of a metal so soft they were all bent when the the motor arrived. A simple cardboard collar around the ends of the motor for shipping would have prevented this damage. These rods are also intended to hold the motor vertically in the condensing unit with a large fan once installed. The only mounting hardware included was 4 screws - there is no place on the motor to use screws; some nuts to locate on the threaded rods would have been a nice addition. One of the bent rods snapped when I was trying to mount it on the condensing unit support. I had to pull it out of the motor turn it around and rig it to leave enough thread to fit through the mounting hole on the condensing unit. I was actually shocked when the motor ran. I would have returned it, but I was repairing my daughters air conditioner in hot and humid Memphis which had already been out for over a week. I don't expect this motor to last long. I now know why the company I worked for stopped using Fasco motors. They are a lawsuit waiting to happen.

A/C motor replacement
Looked up the specs on this and they matched our A/C motor which was making noise. Husband had to cut the shaft because it was too long, and now the A/C works perfectly, with no noise.
