Are there any mounting holes or slots on the rear of this socket?

There is no mounting holes. I received this product yesterday and can confirm definitively there are no mounting holes

2 questions. 1. Is the neon light on all the time? Id rather it not be is all. 2. Does it have an aperture in the back to secure it to a wall.

Just stick some black electrical tape over the lights, that’s what I did in my bedroom, works a treat.

Is the actual cable 2m or is the 2m length for the whole thing?

The whole thing, excluding the wall plug. The extention block is 13.5cm, the cable 186.5

Yes the plug is rubber mould sealed and there is a small rubber cover for the fuse.
