Balance your body, mind, and spirit and heal yourself with your own hands using this clear, step-by-step illustrated guide to the practice of the ancient Japanese healing art of Jin Shin—written by a trained expert with nearly three decades of experience. You might be surprised to learn that the majority of today’s most common ailments including anxiety, backaches, colds and flu, digestive issues, immune disorders, migraines, and insomnia, can be alleviated naturally by restoring and harmonizing blocked, stagnant energy. The art of Jin Shin, based on the Japanese healing art of energy medicine, is practiced throughout the world. While related to acupressure and massage therapy, this holistic practice uses only minimal pressure and gentle touching with the fingers and hands to redirect or unblock the flow of energy along the body’s fifty-two points (twenty-six on each side of the body)—called Safety Energy Locations, or SELs—areas where energy tends to get congested. This simple, non-invasive process allows your body’s energy to flow smoothly, and with balance restored, you will experience a sense of wellbeing and calm. The Art of Jin Shin explains all the basics of this healing art and provides you with the knowledge you need to practice it on yourself—with exercises ranging from simply holding a finger for a few minutes to spending twenty minutes to harmonize a specific circulation pattern. Whether you desire a deeper understanding of the body/mind/spirit connection or want to create a daily Jin Shin maintenance routine the power is literally at your fingertips. Review: Beautiful, well organized, well written, and useful. - In the past months, I’ve been doing a deep dive into this Japanese healing art. This is a wonderful book. It’s written in an easy, accessible style while still being intelligent and educational. The photographs are extremely helpful, the material is laid out in a an understandable way, and it’s a great reference book. I also recommend watching the author’s videos on YouTube as well as ones by Astrid Kaufman. Review: Beautiful--both the design and the content - I am new to Jin Shin but quite familiar with other methods of energetic healing. I am an acupuncturist and a graphic designer, and was quite impressed with this book on both fronts! The book itself is gorgeous--stunning imagery throughout, including wonderful photos of real people from all walks of life practicing Jin Shin. It is beautifully arranged and organized, and easy to use as a reference. I also like the author's way of describing the art. She gives enough detail to provide a solid introduction without being too esoteric. Never does she talk down to the reader; instead, she makes this healing tool accessible for any level, and encourages the reader to practice at whatever level feels right to them. I knew very little about this practice before purchasing the book, and wasn't sure I'd like it, but I would buy this again in a heartbeat. The techniques are simple yet profound, and the author presents them beautifully.

A good basic guide for anyone interested in the energy healing art of Jin Shin.
For more than 6 decades I have been passionately interested in health and fitness issues. Besides the hard intense workout programs I have followed all my life I have also been interested in various forms of mind/body energy healing, having studied numerous systems with certifications in (Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Tapping techniques, and hand and foot reflexology). Even though I was also familiar with some of the principles of Jin Shin Jyutsu I had never studied it formally; however, I had read a lot of material on the subject. When I saw this interesting 210 page soft cover book; The Art of Jin Shin (The author leaves out the Jyutsu word, which means “art” in Japanese on purpose) by Alexis Brink on Amazon I decided to purchase it. I found this book to be very interesting and highly informative about the practice and theory of Jin Shin. This book is organized into 10 chapters covering the following material: The Jin Shin effect, the power of self-care, getting started, mapping the fingers, the safety energy locations, the first three flows, the twelve organ-flows, the Mudras, mini-flows, and the symptom encyclopedia. Since I was familiar with some of this material I found this book to be very helpful in clarifying some of the basic principles behind the energy healing system. If you are seeking a unique and easy to follow book on the art of Jin Shin you may want to check out this book on Amazon. Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. The Art of Jin Shin will bring you optimal heath and well being.
I have been very fortunate to have had many JSJ sessions with Alexis over the years. I can honestly say that when I leave her serene and spiritually uplifting environment I am in harmony, more balanced, calm and loved. Alexis has healing hands and a compassionate heart. What is wonderful about her book, "The Art of Jin Shin", is that it has clear and precise directions, explaining the "flows" and "holds" that are used for self-healing. The book is also illustrated with beautiful instructional photographs. It is the next best thing to having a personalized session with Alexis. Both are avenues to optimal health and well being. Great book/didn't appear new/bad packaging
I love the book. Very informative, awesome illustrations. However, the book arrived with stains on the front and back cover, like it was used. It wasn't wrapped in plastic or cardboard (assumed it would be, as other books from 'A' have been). Delivered in a lame soft envelope, book is bent in 3 places. Way to try and ruin a good review for a great book 'A'!

Valuable !!
I love this book it’s really really easy to read and understand. I really really like the colorful pages with the easy to understand diagrams. It’s easy to follow. There are the different flows, and also a quick guide to some super easy holds. I disagree with The review where the person said that it’s a waste of money because it’s the same information in The original book by Alice Burmeister. I think this is A great addition to that book as it has different information in it, easier to understand, Plus the price is wonderful. It came in one day :-) this is the good way to start if you’re beginning or even just want to know about Jin shin She also has so many free guided videos online!

A beautiful, informative, life altering book
I am grateful beyond words for this book. Thirty four years ago I sustained a spinal cord injury leaving me partially paralyzed. Due to years of compromised mobility and the aging process this body needed a major fix or tune up. Back pain and weakness along with hips, legs and feet has been a daunting challenge to say the least, making it harder to function on a daily basis. I have tried many different modalities through the years for relief, including acupuncture, chiropractors, and many body works. This Jin Shin is exactly what I have been looking for, praying for and waiting for. I have been applying these techniques every morning while still in bed since receiving this book two weeks ago. My life has changed and is changing. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
