Simplified Rhythm Stick Activities

Fun in the preschool class room age 4

The music is a little old, like throw-back 70s, but the kids in my kinder class LOVE doing the songs. Another reason I like it is because half of the songs TELL you what to do with the sticks. The same songs are also on the CD in instrumental only so you could do your own thing if you wanted, or see if the kids remember what to do after practicing the songs with directions.

A very fun rhythm stick CD for the preschool classroom. The songs are all familiar tunes with words that instruct the listeners in rhythm stick movements. A caution: Adults need to familiarize themselves with the words and actions of the songs (included with the CD) before attempting to do them with children, as you can get lost easily if you don't.

Good CD. Case caked cracked in the middle. Not complaint because the CD works.

I particularly like 3 of the selections on this CD. I wish they had used the instruction “tap” instead of “hit”. The children follow the beat better when told to tap the sticks on the floor rather than hit them.

These are fun activities for my younger kids. The songs are easy to learn and directions are easy to follow.

The kids love it, I love it. Great combination of music and exercise. Great variety of movement--everything from marching, bending and stretching to jumping jacks. Practice following instructions and we love all the songs chosen. The perfect rhythm stick CD.

After years of trying to figure out how to use rhythm sticks in my pre-K class, this CD made it easy and fun. My class has quickly learned most of the songs and we get a fast movement break during the day.

I am teaching preschool and kindergarten music and the kids have really enjoyed these songs. Some are challenging so better for the K's/

A great selection of tunes , with a clear - voiced caller, who helps you and your kids to do the actions.A little military - like in places.
