Very nice and useful

I have been using Futura for years now n there were no second thoughts to buy another product simply because after using a Wonderchef tava (which was gifted), it got so bad in less than 6 months of usage plus the chemical stench refused to let go. So deciding again on a new tava wasn’t cumbersome Cos I trust Futura completely. However what struck me was it’s early delivery than what was promised, again fab. When I opened the package, I was surprised to see the quality, durability, thickness of this tava. Moreover, because I chose a thick base, I guess that added to it being very heavy In weight but that’s still ok Cos quality speaks for itself. I have used this tava today for roti’s and it met much more than my expectations. Only thing is takes a lot of time to heat evenly but I’m still ok with it. I’ve always loved Futura n will continue doing so. Thanks Amazon for a fab product.

Purchased this tawa for Rs. 842. I have been using this from past 7 months now. I use it 5 days in a week for preparing Pulka most of the times and sometimes for Chapathi. Tawa is durable and easy to wash & maintain. They make nice Pulka/Chapathi. Nice thick tawa. Only thing is you need to read Instruction booklet carefully and understand how much flame is required. For preparing Pulka and Chapathi flame requirement is different (they don't require same type of flame). I would recommend this to others.

Worst product from Hawkins I am giving 3 star only for genuine amazon talking about the product itz an awful product itz worst for dosa actually its not made for dosa its OK with rotis but if your thinking to buy it for dosa better go for non stick

I will be purchasing the 3rd one, this product is just awesome, the extra thickness for 6.35 version almost makes this like non-stick with the advantage that the benefit will last a lifetime unlike the chemical coatings that start peeing off in a years time. Making rotis for a family of 4-6 exposes the tawa to continuous high heat for more than an hour that the traditional chemically coated non-stick tawas cannot survive. And when the coating starts peeling off, its even more dangerous as it leaches into the food. The hard anodising process is really awesome for such applications where the cookware is exposed to high heat for longer periods.

The best roti-tawa out there. My last Prestige non-stick granite coating lasted for 15 days. This one is steady since last 4 months and not a scratch. It looks beautiful. It is heavy and very well made. And it has successfully endured the abuse my maid puts it through without any impact on the anodised layer so far. Simply the best out there. Only con is it is difficult to clean.

Excellent Product

I cooked regularly when I was in India but never came across this Tava. I owned a traditional Cast Iron tawa produced locally and also another non-stick tava. All in all this tava is better than either. It's production quality is top notch. Hawkins is a trusted brand. I had concerns about the metallic handle before I bought it. But in practice it is cool to the touch and has a clearly marked line beyond which it magically never heats up. The hard anodized cooking surface takes a little getting used to (if you are used to cast iron), but has great non-stick properties while not sacrificing the smooth surface finish that is required in a tava to be effective.

This product really looks good and I was eager to use it. However,after several uses, I found it tarnished very quickly despite all efforts to maintain the shine. This was disappointing. As far as functionality, the Tava works great. You have to remember to oil it after each use.

It 8s of very good tawa as it is thick ,it prevents sticking and burning.
