Excellent product
I tried many ways to remove wallpaper, using hot water, fabric conditioner with water, use steamer, and found out that this is the best product to use for removing wallpaper, used it to remove woodchip wallpaper, makes the hardwork easier! 100% recommend.

Brilliant product, makes it so easy to take paper off
A small amount goes a long way with this and in my opinion it’s far better than having a steamer. Also works really well if you have wallpaper that’s had a lot of paint on it. Take off what you can and then put this on the backing paper and it comes right off with a scraper

Average wallpaper remover
Used to remove some wallpaper. Seemed to help, but didn't blow us away. Decent price so no major complaints

No better than fabric softener
I bought this because I’d been using fabric softener dissolved in warm water to soak the wallpaper before scraping it off and thought this might be a significant upgrade. The issue is that it does the exact same job, no better or worse, so if you already have some fabric softener in the house and can spare a capful or two then you might as well save your money. Also the back of the bottle says no need to wash down walls afterwards but I didn’t find this to be true, it left a residue of paste on the wall that I needed to was off with sugar soap.

Steamer is better.
Good price but not sure what it is actually supposed to do.Got this and the Solvite pre-mixed to test them both out - have copied this review to that product also.So - mixed it up, sprayed onto scratched painted wallpaper. The wallpaper has been on the walls for decades so was quite solid. The method was scratch, spray, go and do something else for a few minutes then come back and scrape, repeat. It sort of worked as in made it a bit easier to scrape of a 1 or 2 centimetres around the edge. Over a day, did most of a wall.Tried it on another wall with the Solvite - same method- which worked a little better - would get a few strips with that every so often and took about 3/4 of the time that the Rustins took, but wouldn't shift some very stuck paper. The third wall used a steamer. It all came off in a couple hours including going over the bits that Rustins and Solvite couldn't shift. A lot less hassle.A hell of a lot cheaper and quicker with an old cheap steamer/stripper. Used up the Solvite (£12) which did about 3 metres sq but threw the Rustins (£8) away after a half a wall.I was trying to find a method that used less water as the area was a bit damp anyway. The Rustins took about 3 litres to do half a wall. The Solvite was 1 litre to do about the same. The steamer used about 2 or 3 litres - so ended up just wasting time, but now we know for next time - just get the bloody steamer out.

Good stuff
I had 40 year old wallpaper to strip that had been painted over. Didn’t want to use a steamer and risk damaging plaster as was so old. This is good stuff. Made taking the last layer off a lot easier.
